The combination of the black and white overlaid by the soft nearly-color is perfect! It emphasizes the sharpness of your focus through the center, while backing up your title of an "embrace." I am seeing blue undertones which increased the aesthetics of this for me as a very romantic treatment, very ethereal. |

This image has amazing initial impact from this little hitchhiker! The smaller crop nailed it, as my only distraction was the out of focus petal way down in front. Bonus: he's creeping up on that red thing and with the crop, it added the story by refocusing on how his attention is on that bug. Great image! |

Your use of the softness all around really works, where if you just had out of focus petals it might not have. The color combination also works quite well. I wish there was a way to not have the tips touching the petals, but nature can sometimes be assisted with our perspective changed and sometimes not! I like your image. |

Bill, this is a wonderful capture by you, and technically, it feels great to me as a viewer. I don't see any over sharpening but I'm on my iPad. The striking clarity of his face and ... ? Can't remember
the name.... are pleasing. Maybe just tone down the green area underneath him--all those bright little dots. Great job! |

I like your remake, although the crop is a tad too close for me.
