I have to agree with you that including more of the colony on the beach is the way to go. It's a great capture of the bird, and definitely sharp. I feel that you can still bring up more detail in the face, particularly around the eye, where you have a wonderful catchlight. The area around the eyeball is lost in those shadows of the black. But your capture is really nice and clear! |

What a fun image! Those squirrels are persistent buggers, aren't they? The composition, along with the soft bokeh of the background, works well for this. I would like to see a little more exposure on his face, where his nose disappears into the feeder specifically, and his eye feels a bit soft to me, but I think these are both things that would be minor adjustments and would just serve to enhance an already great image. |

I like the simplicity of the subject with just a hint of the background in three different areas, creating almost a triangle. Great detail and color balance, along with a nice sharp capture...great job! |

Interesting image....I like the composition and the prominence of the eggs. The image felt somewhat busy to me, and I had to look at the second bird for a long moment to determine what I was looking at with its head position. One thing that would help me as a viewer is if you could bring out the face and eye of the nesting bird. Then raise the overall exposure of the subjects, while keeping that green background dark and even reducing some of the clarity of the background? |

This image immediately makes me feel peaceful...the crop promotes the feeling of waiting...for something to float by for the heron.
I did find it to be slightly underexposed--the eye and face of the heron could be opened up a bit, and overall the image could use more vibrance--maybe just raising the white point?
I think eliminating the ripply water at top was a good move. As far as your vignette, overall brightening of the image will make that vignette less noticeable, too...not that I felt it was too noticeable. |

This will be an incredible image for your exhibit! It has immediate impact, pleasing colors, and charming simplicity. I do agree that it felt somewhat underexpose, so I do like the remake. I also like the crop, but felt that maybe there is just a slight bit of length to the bottom that could be eliminated--not anything drastic, must about 1/5th of that excess. I don't find anything else about it that I would change...what a beautiful image! |

Wow, Denise. Nice job! Talk about impact! This has a very ethereal feel to it, while still having the clarity to make it comfortable to me as a viewer. Your composition is phenomenal on this, as is the lighting. You need to enter this into competition. Cinematic is a great description of this image....it produces a dreamy, mysterious, rich feeling that I think is very unique. |

I love these flowers! Your capture was very sharp (not oversharp, perfectly sharp), with great composition, clarity and texture. The lighting is very attractive and even with enough shadows to give the flower depth and shape. This is a beautiful image. |

Wow, what an interesting plant! The composition works very well, as does the simplicity of the background. Your capture is sharp, with the placement of your focus bringing it even more forward towards me as a viewer. This would be a good subject for focus stacking with that top part just slightly out of focus. I know you aren't supposed to change things for nature images, but if you could eliminate that little wisp of plant or string? I think that would help to pull my eye from that softness in the top center area. Great image! |

Magnificent capture of this peony...as I view it, I feel the texture and depth, along with such pleasing colors. It is soft and sharp all at the same time. Putting it against a black background works very well for this. There isn't anything I would see you change! And a great and fitting title, too! |

What a fun pose...looks like he's doing a downward dog~! Nice and sharp, with great color intensity. I think I would like to see the shadows opened up a bit more in his face, his "chest," and his tail? Great capture--those suckers are so hard to catch in a still moment! |

The red of this really pops, along with the texture you've captured! Your capture of the flower is very, very appealing.
One suggestion is that you vignette those edges, and darken the upper corners, so the brightness of those two large leaves don't draw the viewers' eye from your beautiful flower. You might be able to brush some light onto the darker areas of the flowers and then brush some shadows onto those leaves? What package are you using for your post-processing? If it is LR, you could try using one of those "masks" to isolate the flower while darkening around it. |
