Yes, Mike, I like what you have done with it; its much better now. I don't really want to clone the sticks out, although maybe just the one very prominent one. Part of my goal is to leave the animals in their natural habitat to the extent possible. But the busy-ness was a problem for me, so I think you have handled it expertly. I will try this. How did you eliminate the blue cast and light the underside, if you don't mind my asking? |

Wow!!!! This is an incredible image, Mike. It feels like art and is enchanting. Very Asian feel to it. The positioning of the bird is incredible, as well as the fact that the eyes are the spot of color in an otherwise calm black and white background. Nothing needs changing in any way....I would happily hang this in my home! Great job. I have been playing with some of my Zebra images from Africa, and hoping to do something similar where it is leached of all color, becoming mainly black and white, but NOT with a full tonal range. Hopefully I can figure it out; you've done a bang-up job, Mike!! |

This is a beautiful image, very appealing to me. The color balance, the layout of the leaves around that one main one, and the delicate frosting of ice, all work well together. Sharp in all the right places, with lots of pop. I wouldn't change anything about it. |

Very cool shot--the dripping drops (perfectly round!) give this great appeal and interest. The overall image is pleasing. The body of the bird was a little soft on my screen, but I do believe that was my screen and not your image. Your capture of the lighting feels wonderful, not over- or underwhelming in any way. I have to agree that maybe a slice off the left would be okay; it might focus my eye more squarely toward the right (I know, poor use of English). I love the image, though!

The way you have the horizontal elements parced into thirds really works well for me in this image. The colors are complimentary and the overall image is very sharp and clear. I would have liked to see a separation between the rocks and the tree branch on the left, but we get what we can climb to, haha, and only cloning a piece of the branch out would fix that, so I'm not going to nit-pick there. The other thing that was harder for my eyes to adjust to was the saturation, mainly in the orange, and the bit of unevenness to the sky (the whiter areas near horizon?). Great possibilities here! |

Wow, great image. I see what turned you toward black and white, and I also love the image in color. The color version is better for the eyes, so if there's a way to bring out the depth of the eyes in the black and white, I think it is lovely, particularly around the beak area. Would you consider one of those shots where the eyes stay with the original colors, and only the rest of the image is black and white? Feels very sharp in all the right places for me, and the composition is very pleasant. I did note some pixelation in the B/W image, on the lower righthand side. But I think its a great shot.

This image has immediate appeal to me, too, and I find it very soothing to view at the same time. Very strong composition. There is an overall softness, which I find lends itself to the subject. The darker leaf adds balance, for me, and there isn't anything I would change about it. |
