Good point about blurring the focus on the stick. |

Very cool flower photo. As others have mentioned, blurring and reducing the background helps the composition. I think if your background were the same type of greenery in the back and not split in the middle as two types it would be less distracting. |

Thank you. Dorinda changed the contrast but did not crop my photo at all. |

I also find the curtains on the right side distracting as well as the strings on her leg. Can you remove them? My mind wants to straighten them out. I do like the addition of the smoke but find it is cut off with the curtains. |

Is that a Striated Heron? Reminds of Green Herons in US. I like the artistic texture of the heron as well as the rain in this photo. Did you use a preset to create those effects? |

I like the focus on the frog with the blur but wonder of you can make its eye more in focus. Cool frog with all that texture. |

It might just be that I am looking on my phone not a computer, but your subject especially her face looks blurry to me while the background stone looks like it has more detail. |

I agree with Mark that the black & white version has more depth but I prefer the color version. Maybe you can increase the blur in the background of the color version to increase the depth. Although I think the subject looks sharper in the monochrome version. |

Thank you. I appreciate that you included an example. Since I am new to editing this example helps me and is a reminder for me to test out more options when editing. |
