Hi Don, this a beautiful and very creative image. Thank you for sharing how you created it. I really like the setting and variety of the crystal vases, along with the multi-toned carnations. The black background enhances the beauty of this image. |

Hi John, this is an outstanding and sharp image. I especially like the angle of the shot, as the blooms appear to be reaching for the light. Beautiful soft color tones of the chrysanthemums, as they look like early fall flowers. |

Charissa, this is a beautiful monochrome image. I especially like placement of the mum in the swirling, crystal bowl, as it provides interest and brightens the image. The monochrome tones very nicely define the detail of the mum. |

Hi Bev,
This is a lovely and very pretty, soft image. I especially like the droplets on the pinkish flowers and violet or purple background. The yellow tones add balance and warmth to the image. |

The image was taken with a Sony A7IV camera and a Sony 90 mm macro lens, handheld. The settings on my camera were: ISO 400, 90 mm, f22, 1/25".

Thank you for your comments Charissa. I especially like the recommendation to crop the image as a square and to slightly darken the background to clearly define the subject. I like the leaf on one of the petals because it highlights the beauty of this still in bloom zinnia in late fall. |
