There is a lot going on here! The varied positions and focus of everyone is a great feature. I was trying to think of what kind of event it was - fireworks? no it's daytime. parade? with lots of floats and some clowns maybe? circus? Then I read the description and it makes total sense. I think the lady walking behind on the right is a little distracting but you could have lost the rest of the photo if you waited for her to leave. I wish we could see the little girl on the right's face a little more but same risk as with the background lady. the background is busy but dark and blurry enough that I don't think it is too distracting and helps set the scene. Cool shot! |

This is a well timed shot - I love the expressions, they really help tell the story of what is going on. The position and lighting of the corn really makes that end up as the focal point for me, which I think is good. The lighting does look like it was tough, you can tell that the lady in the center was darker than the others. You did a good job brightening her up without making it seem over-worked. I'm trying to think of a criticism and I can't really find one. I wonder what it might look like without the lady on the far right but you can't do much about that. |
