Hi Bud, indeed I live in Pacific Grove and this photo was taken off Moss Landing with Fast Raft Ocean Safaris. |

Hi Butch, terrific image. I really like the poses and the fact that you were able to separate them except for the touching heads. Not really sure what else to say, except congratulations.
The last time I went to South Africa I got some video of giraffes swinging their heads into their companion's abdomen and had no idea what they were doing. So thanks for the "necking" explanation. |

Great shot Larry, it must be tough thinking about camera settings when there's a wall of fire raging in front of you.
I guess the only thing that sticks out for me is that I'd like to see more of the fire. It looks like if you took a couple steps screen right there might be an opening to get more of the fire in the shot.
But it sounds like you were on a pretty short leash with the firefighters so perhaps you just couldn't move from this spot.
The close-up of the cabbage palm is excellent too, you've got a great pair of images here. |

Hi Bud, beautiful shot you've got here. I really like the three splashes so I wouldn't crop any of them out. The overexposure on the splashes seems like a nice "live and learn" moment - I shoot a lot of water scenes and have this problem all the time. |

Other than getting a little more of the birds on screen, I'm not sure what else to suggest on this picture. It turned out really well, you should be proud of this one. |
