I think the two bright windows are OK. It is what one might see simply because of the geometry of the building and sun. And I don't have a problem with a tilt, either. Streets do that and he appears to be taking big strides. Maybe you could have enhanced the content of the stores viewed through the windows just a little bit. Not much. Good shot. |

I think you were smart to make this B&W. In color I think the background would be complex and compete with the subject. This is all about her, simply. Well done.

That is a great shot. The kid's expression is priceless. Kids have not "learned" to hide their feeling and often have more evident reactions. |

I had an R5. Now R6. I have always shot with a camera of comparable size and appearance. Early on, I was concerned about being conspicuous. I shot some student film projects, where my presence was normal, and learned how to just hang out, blend in and shoot. Wear plain not colorful clothing. Hang out in an area and eventually you will become part of the scenery. There are lots of ways you can hold a camera using the display screen opposed to up in front of your eye. I've shot thousands of images and never had a problem. Fairs, festivals, places like Key West or Miami South Beach are easy. My web site has some street photography I've shot. I have not maintained it recently. www.keithblandford.com. My email is keithblandford@me.com. I was cautious about shooting little children. |

I get the feeling of being there in the crowd, wandering around, probably getting something to eat. Normally I'd question the windows at the top. But here they add to the overall context, I think. |
