Stephen, this is a very interesting photo! The somber, emotionless expressions on the subjects faces tells a wonderful story. "Busy city versus lifeless people." The colors are vibrant and lively. In my humble opinion, I would've used a slightly higher shutter. The young lady in the front appears a little soft; however, the motion blur does give the image a sense of movement. I see you used a cell phone, so I'm not familiar with Samsung. I would've cropped the photo about 1/3 from the top right below the red tattoo sign and made the photo more of a landscape photo. This would eliminate the colored red & purple squares on the building which draws my eye. I love that you captured that moment in time and that you allowed them room "to walk into" with my space in front of them which gives the image a since of motion.
Have you tried converting this to a black and white? I'd be curious to see what that looks like. |

Thank you for pointing all of those things out. It made me go back and take note of the items that drew your attention and I thank you for bringing up the use of the textures! |

Bruce, I love this photo. What appeared was going to be a candid photo for you, instantly turned into a man who caught you photographing and struck a pose for you with a nice big smile. Well done! Nice and sharp on the subject and the softer subjects in the background draw my eye right to the center where it should be. |

This is a great image depicting family time. The interactions are great, the expressions and being able to see they are truly listening to each other. Nice and sharp. Love the colors and the very nice tones. |

Bev, I like the story element of this image. I love how you captured a great, candid photo. I would definitely crop out the head that's in the bottom left of the photo or clone it out. Since the chef is angled more towards the left of the photo, I would've left a little more "breathing" room for the subject to work into on the left side of the photo and cropped more off the right side to the brown wall, eliminating the bright light behind him. |

I also agree with Bev on this. I would've cropped out the sign which still would've captured the entire bench, since the bright colors of the sign draw my eye. It's an image that tells a story, but with the clothing of the subject matching the background, the sign distracts me some. Love the style of the boots and the history behind them! |
