58 Feb 26 Comment Wonderful action photo. Perhaps it is my display, but am I seeing blur? I'd like to read the menu! :)
Thank you. A very captivating shot!

58 Feb 26 Comment Not seeing but part of the subject's face only adds to the mystery. I love it. The sign in total feels like competition to the subject. Rather than get rid of it altogether, possibly crop to a small corner of the signage, so that the subject's pose, looking down and the other way, would suggest he was rejecting, or at least, totally disinterested with whatever the messages were.
The "busy" background felt like noise taking the focus off him. Perhaps a blurred background?
My brain is straining to process the terrific imagery. Thanks!

58 Feb 26 Comment The faces tell the story! Subjectively speaking, the eye is drawn to the wrinkled, grizzled face of the main subject. His audience makes the case for their interest.
For discussion's sake, what would be the effect of just showing the prime subject with the far-right individual cropped off, and the blurred men as secondary interest? Perhaps the picture-within-a-picture? It would put the prime focus on the centerpiece of the photo, perhaps.
Love the human interest on display here.

58 Feb 26 Comment Purposeful or not, I appreciated the framing of the far-left individual and the third-left individual within the design of the mosaic. It gave the feel of "these listeners are unique." The contrast of the second-left individual's grey crop against the wooden backdrop, with not showing the face, left it to my imagination to capture what that person was thinking.
I enjoy photos where I become part of the unseen tapestry. Thank you.

58 Feb 26 Comment I concur with the comments of our group. I'd add that this is a mind-bending collage of textures, which are accentuated by the black & white rendering. The vertical fence. . . the rectangular brick. . . the debris/litter/leaves on the foreground street surface. . . and even the texture on the bottom of the subject's shoes.
I'm not skilled in black & white, so this merited a long, long look to understand its composition and contrasts. Thank you!
