It is a him. Male polar bears' necks are bigger than their heads, which is why they can't be collared. |

I would also think an immature reddish. I think it would help if the luminance were less on the leaves in the background, and you recovered the highlights on the bird, perhaps some texture and clarity too. |

WOW, amazing shot. My only comment is that the feathers on the heron's face look a bit soft, and the rest look a bit over-sharpened, which emphasizes that. Perhaps just sharpening those feathers would be better? |

Nice shot. You might try cropping in more on the bottom and top, and a tiny bit on the left to fill the frame more with the buzzard. |

So cool to have them both. I might crop a tiny bit from the right to minimize the bright spot and brighten the eye area on the one on the right.
