I agree with others that the lighthouse itself could be its own picture, but I have to admit I'm immediately drawn to and really enjoy this composition. The colors are absolutely beautiful.
I find my eye follows the foot prints to the end of the jetty/pier and then follow the metal work over to the lighthouse, and then I stay at the lighthouse given the brightness of it and the color.
I could easily see this framed and on the wall. |

I love the colors and believe that the increased exposure of the trees was a great call. I think the height of the trees increasing from left to right makes this a great and interesting work.
In the background are some boats (I believe). They don't distract, but I'm curious if there's any way to lean into them even more? I find they add to the story. |

Another wow! The contrast and choice for b/w is perfect. The stratification of the rocks, the stratification of the clouds, and the juxtaposition of the round balancing rock are great.
I absolutely love the tonal range. |

Great composition. The hills in the background provide a really nice grounding to the picture; which I now realize is a pun but I don't mean it that way.
I'd be curious if there's a version with a higher f/stop to make the sun rays more pronounced? Although that might ruin it and I love how they're shining out from that top branch. |

Wow! Catching the lightening right along the edge of the virga is amazing. I especially love the darkness under the clouds and that patch of strong blue over on the right. |

What an amazing sky! The contrast with the trees and the overall composition is great. The mass of the clouds balances out the mass of the trees just right.
I wouldn't change a thing! |
