As this is a name in my family, we've always had the debate of whether it's spelled Lawrence, as in "of Arabia" or Laurence, as in Olivier. I like the shot but would probably also looked for an angle that brought the subject into context. Might have meant lying on the floor though and that can be awkward in a place like Westminster. |

Good call on the exposure compensation enabling the contrast with the darker background. |

Well done with the tree removal. I haven't had good luck with that sort of post processing yet. At ISO 1000 you had a shutter speed of 1/2000. Bringing that down to ISO 400 would have allowed for a slower shutter speed and likely alleviated the need for de-noising. Just a thought, happens to me too if I leave the ISO to Auto. Other than that, nice shot. |

At first I thought the image was off kilter but then the title clued me in. You really get the sense of falling or toppling over. Well done. |

Living in New England, we have numerous small cemeteries and grave yards with 18th century headstones so I can relate to your image. The clarity is excellent --many of ours are worn down by time and wether. The contrast helps focus the viewer onto the epitaphs. Hard to think that Thomas York was just 22-years old. Gives the photo and emotional impact. |

An interesting technique. I like the small bit of color against the otherwise black and white image. Did you have that in mind when you took it or did that come to you in processing?
The cards on the ground and the extra incense are a bit distracting. I think picking them up for the shot and returning them after would bring better focus to the subject. Other than that I think it's good photo and presentation. |
