Hi Don, I like this image, and I agree with you that is all about the color and the contrasting streaks in the reflections. I especially liked the variety of tones. It inspired me to be a little abstract and I played with your image in Photoshop, using the Style Transfer filter included in the Neural Filters. |

Hi Julie - thanks for sharing. I love the light and the color. As to your question, I think you were right to flip it. I played with it both ways, and I think the weight of the light reflections on the water in your final version help keep the eye from falling out of the photo. |

Hi Andrew - I love patterns, and this image has a lot of them. I think I must have been channeling Don as I did some of the same things with crop, B&W, etc. You have a sense of space in this image that my eye wants to narrow down to just one pattern. I do love the long line of the of the pier. |

This is a great shot - I have done very little of this and have yet to get the Milky Way. I like the composition with the trees and the stump providing context. I agree with Janice regarding the light on the stump - maybe try to darken the highlights and soften the lighter spot in the sand.

I really like the added texture on the bridge - I left the interior dark on purpose, but I have to admit the lightening with your treatment balances it. (I shall remove the ghost of tourists past however). thank you! |
