40 Dec 25 Comment Andrew - I want to go here and stand where you are standing. I love the light and color and the hint of an "S" curve that draws the eye. The foreground provides some great perspective, but it feels just a little heavy with the one clump of grass that is a little close to the center of the image. I wonder if you cropped in just a little all the way around, to give a bit of prominence to the little farm and bring out the background. Not much - just a tiny bit. Great image- thank you for sharing. Dec 22nd
40 Dec 25 Comment Hi Catherine - the OBX is one of my favorite places to shoot. I love your subject matter and the contrast in textures, especially between the greenery and the old wood. My eye wants to go to the end of the little dock with the reflection in the water. Even though you took this image on the fly, I think you might be able to pull several stories out with some strategic zooms or crop. Agree with Andrew regarding the grain. Dec 22nd
40 Dec 25 Comment Hi Ling Ling - I like the motion in this photo. I agree that you might be able to tell multiple stories within this frame. Dec 22nd
40 Dec 25 Comment Hi Janice - great shot and I love what the B&W does for the patterns and lines. There are some hot spots on some of the bannisters that you might soften. Great idea to shoot up! Dec 22nd
40 Dec 25 Comment HI Don - I love the morning light that you captured, and what you did to the sky to bring it out further enhances the image. I think the old jetty is a great subject. The strong leading lines and central position of the jetty do give you something that bears exploring - would love to see what your next iteration looks like. Dec 22nd
