If you ever wanted to do a travel book or a book about life in Shanghai, this is the type of image that an editor would be looking for. Life as it really is, not pleasing to the eye but makes aa fantastic image. But if I was still having my editor head on, I would say they image comes over a touch to busy and for a book I would love to crop to emphasize the two men sitting in the street of washing and all the other stings around. The roofs are to much even though they were there. Great street scene. |

Well you found a lovely spot and I hope you took a lot of images hear a tried different angles and different styles.
The image you have presented I think we all would have headed straight for and taken in one form or another. I may have shot this as three images and combined them so I could get the best from all parts. But as the way you have shot this image the main central water is sort of dominating the images and my eyes struggles to go the those lovely rocks and textures. Three images would have given you better balance and control in processing. There is another image in here that I quite like. See attached. Your black and white ratio is very good. |

That is a stunning piece of Architecture with some love integrate carvings. The good thing about our Cathedrals in the UK they normally have room around them, in Italy and Spain they don't, you entre these lovely little squares and these beautiful builds just standing there with all the other Architecture. So extremely difficult to get a good image. You have done well. Some will say the pigeon adds to the image a tell the story. For me it just gets in the way of the joy of that building. Beautiful tones and colour. Love it. |

I take it that this image is taken from a boat, they do look proud sitting on top of the throne. you do wonder how they got up there. I think the one in the water was just about to show you. If you were on land I would say a movement to the left would be good so we could get more of the seal and the back but that would then have the main Seattle main feature come out of his head. Very pleasing image to view. Maybe just a touch more room bottom and right. But that is just my taste. |

I personnally find that the items on the right are invading the space of the barrels on the left and it cramps the image up. With them removed the barrels have room to breath. Its just an idea. |

This is a nice spot for an image, did you get samples. I take it you were hand held, so you have done well, but I do wonder if a little bit of work improves it. The image is those barrels and the background, the stuff on the right is a touch invasive, also your highlights are a touch shallow and can be opened a touch and your could life your deeper blacks.
I have had a play with photoshop. |

Another fine street image, the context of the works fits the image well. Looks like one person did not get a phone for Christmas. I must admit I do look out for people with their phones out as they can not moan at you taking their image. Love the shadow falling across the image. Very pleasing. |

Your over exposure has given you the opportunity to produce and good line effect image. I to would remove the bush. |

This must have been an awesome sight to see, that yachts person must have had such a soulful journey along that sight.
Looking at your original you have got out some strong detail and tones and the boat is placed well. Yes level your horizons but other than that you have a lovely image. I do hope you enjoyed your trip. |

I know this is a Black and White circle, but this images needs to be in colour, in the colour image the blur gives the effect of a group of high speed pixels flying past and pulling off the leaves from and branch. You can even see the last pixie in the top left. It has a life.
The mono has got good tones and balance but has lost that life the colour has. Keep playing as there is more to come. |

This is a lovely image of the Day-Lily. You do have some nice detales in the image and the tones and shadows are great. The reflections are nicely defined. I am however not a fan of the tint. Personally I don't think it is needed. |
