This is nice, first its monochrome so a winner for me, great range of tones and a nice shape to the fall, I did spend some time on this wondering weather the left side was to much, there are good crops in here, a perfect square is good for the falls part. One little thing I would do is either remove the piece of rock coming in right corner or do a slight slither of a crop to lose it. But after a lot of debating I came to the conclusion that this does show off what was there well. I would do a smart sharpen to the whole image.
Nice picture. |

They call that a cottage. Wow! You need a fish eye for a Big House. This is very pleasing image and a lovely house, its position is very nice and sits well in the trees, The smoke is adding a lovely mood and adds that mystery. With the tones you have in this image this could work very well in Monochrome.
P.S. My version in Silver Efex 8, slither cropped of top. |

You look at these rocks and you see the wear and tear on the there and you think of the centuries of weather that has hit them, how that one finger of rock has been warn away, but still they build the houses under them. But it does make for a good image for us photographers. I may have gone about six feet more to the right so you did not have so much of that left tree, but it does make for a very pleasing travel image and would be a good image for an AV. |

I have seen a few images of these over the years from people that have holiday there, but they always seemed to be on a hill.
Here you have it nicely on the flat and the people hanging on which does seem to be a right of passage, That one face in the middle does catch your eye and draws you in. It is sad that the drivers are now in horrible yellow visibles and not the old uniforms and caps.
I do look at the image and want to see more, I would have liked to see more of the surroundings so your get more of how it sits in its surroundings ands runs through the street. Would then tell more of a story. |

I knew I needed to book that opticians appointment, thanks for the reminder. Its a great idea to experiment and the idea is ok but I do wonder if this is the image for it. The man wants to go up, The chairs want to go down and the tree wants to go right. Struggle to please all. Blurring an image does work if you have the figure or lines for it. I do think this would have been better as a straight image. |

I do like the colour version with the fog/mist falling across the whole image and I do wonder with your conversion if you have lost that with the enhancement you have given to the geese. For me they are to strong and I prefer them as they are in the original. |

I think you have done really well with the amount of detail you have pulled out of that mountain and the amount of tones you have. But it is such a shame you have such a dull sky. You could always add another. But I love the mountain. |

One of the most difficult shots to get right, head on bird shot, very difficult to get sharp, here your just missing, I know my friend shot his shot a stop under exposed to allow for the lens and conditions when shooting gulls. You have done better than I would, I can catch cars doing 200 mph but not a bird. So well done. |

I like cake and you have made a good one here. Your base of biscuits are nicely formed with good tone that does not over power and does not have a soggy bottom. Your top of fluffy marshmallow puffs have nice definition to hold the light and show you the leaves and leave you the nice feeling of the taste to come. Then you see the middle with is dense layers of dark jam with lovely streaks of cream running through it. My mouth is watering.
Do I want to see more detail in the middle, No it will take the mystery away. This holds its own as it is. Lovely. |

You do have a very cute granddaughter and I love the hat, it suits the environment well. I do like your choice of depth of field of F4, but I do think you have missed the focal point a touch, it looks like the camera has set the focus and gone for just in from of her nose, so we are losing the important part the eyes. If I was taking this I would have position a reflector low and left to bounce light under that rim so those just to add a touch more light.
But she is very pretty. |
