Sorry about this but Nenette is correct and I put this in September 2023. I normally put a copy of each image I use into a folder so this does not happen. Must had missed this one. One hundred lines "I will not do again". But I am getting old. |

This is a well spotted street image, the graffiti and shapes of the building behind add good backdrop and the fence does not dominate the image. The chairs are great and you wonder who sits there. I would have like to remove the left chair and took an image as three is strong and they balance. But strong street monochrome. |

Wow! That looks a lovely moment in time, this must have been an experience to witness, the dawn rising and mist and clouds parting and this view showing itself to you, lovely travel image that is a joy to view. Thank you for the story. |

What I would say, I can see why you took this and the shadows and reflections do grab your attentions and pull the eye, but does it make a strong image to hold your viewer. Have the unfinished arch and the the door floating seems a touch unbalanced. Those shadows in the arches are the strong part of the image and draw the viewer. The top left is weak. So can we balance. We can crop in a lose the shadow left but balance the image right and make the door join the arches.
But 100% I see why you took it. |

Its all about light. That is the first lesson i was taught. this proves it. What a joy and such a simple image that is lifted but that beautiful light. I even like that lone stump. |

This must have been a wonderful site to see, there is so much information in the scene with the stage off to the left, that great shadow, the steps and railings, the seating layers, The layers of buildings with that marvelous central black building and the fort on the top. All fighting for your attention. This is one of those places that you need to sit and enjoy for a while, understand the individual bits and pick you separate images that you want. You could spend a day. I bet you had five minutes. A wonderful place to see and I am quite jealous. Hope you had time to walk the village and take street images as it looks fascinating. A joy to view. |

The image you have composed is superb, the use of the wild flowers to lead you to the hill in the background is great. The early morning is a great choice, but you must not be afraid to allow Photoshop or what software you use to bring out the colour and shadows you have taken. The camera image will be flat, but in the Raw image data will be all the wonderful information waiting to be released. I use Topaz and Luminosity Masks. please be aware this will look ove the top as it is a small file, but with the raw you will have so much more control. |

Well I think you have done well. The depth and detail is spot on and the tonal values are all there. Those eyes are piecing and draws you into the image. I agree that the bar adds depth but it also adds drama to the image of what, where and why. If you are saying that this is there final trip it does highlight how much the fleece has lost value. But a fabulous image. |

This does make for a fine monochrome image, the depth of tone and length is great. The detail in those boards are lovely. Who on the planning council gave permission for that white building on the right, it does not fit the rest of the architecture. Also those two shadows break the line for me. I do think it is cleaner without them. Strong image. |

This is quite a trong image, the simplistic style of it is great and the open space you have for the person to walk into is great. that reflection is spot on. That dark band gives the walker a target. But I find those two dark patches in each bottom corner draws my eyes and I would crop to just above them. This give a much better balance. |

I agree with you that this is a beautiful place and you idea for an image is great. The line of the path and the benches lead you nicely toward that distant tower. But that top growth is to dominate and lower angle bring the benches more into the image would work better. |

Nice to see an image of a Bison that is not covered in Ice and snow. The eye contact and detail is lovely and that sad tilt of the head is nicely placed. As you know I am not a great fan of sepia toning. But a lovely image that sits well in the frame. |

That is a nice old John Deere, small tractor for the size of field, must have taken him a while. I was bought up on a farm and we use to do this each year.
The grass detail is very good, but that light falling on the tractor is lovely and he stands outs well. The detail is spot on and makes for a good monochrome image. Very pleasing image. Farm Simulator 25 comes out next month. lol |
