The surprise was, when the sun was behind cloud the scene was flat and dull and the greens were just greens. But then the low sun came out and it was like the spot lite of florescent light had been turned on the trees, to the eye what you see here was not far off what I saw on the day with the sun lit trees. But I do agree a touch down on the yellow would make this a bit better. |

That looks a great hike, the scenery is to die for and the weather is great. The glacier since I last say it, which is sad. Does bring back fond memories and wonderful days that broke my back. Colour and detail are spot on.

Do have to say that this is a lovely sunset with some great colour and tone and there seem to be some lovely tones of the horizon and foreground that would complement, but I see you had the same problem that many off have with the foliage that was out on a party and did not care they were getting in your way. Real shame as it spoilt a great sunset for me. Must have been wonderful to watch. |

On a second note, the colour version does have impact and the way the strong yellow of the field sits with the blues of the sky is very nice then the three turbines are great. I do like that path coming in from the left. Idea for a crop. |

Using the Yellow filter has produce an image that has impact and gices a great feeling of IR if was not for the sky, The three turbines are in great position, but I looked at the image and I wondered if the balance was right for the image. Maybe this is what the judges are looking at, here maybe less is more. Crop the image in such a way that the largest of the turbines sits perfect on the right thirds line so cropping a touch right and the left it sits nicely and turbines take control. If you get what I mean. |

This image does show off what amazes me about humanity, here we have one of the most toxic industries right next door to one of the humans favorite pastimes in wine. Which one could quite easily affect the other.
I must admit you did very well with the image considering you were moving in a car, does show how well the mobile phone has moved on as a camera may have struggled with this shot. The grottiness on the old pump does stand well against the field, maybe a touch more contrast would help and you could tone down the foot of the image just a touch to help the viewer. But great catch. |

The monochrome image is very good and the tones and detail are very strong, but sometimes when you produce an image that is that good in colour you don't need to do anything else.
Please check your colour versions as there are flaws in it that judges will jump on. Purple line under left head, bad processing between the two stems, what seems to be repeating on bottom left corner. Fix these you will have very strong club image and good external image. |

Kathryn you don't have to tease me with a glimpse of my Birthday Present. I would have got it from just the headlight. An Austin Healey 3000 and it my be the S which is even better. In immaculate condition as that chrome looks mint. For me one of the most beautiful cars ever built and I have always wanted one, never been able to afford one.
By the way your image is lovely and the tones and shapes are just right, But its a 3000 so you won anyway. Can you feel the big smile. |

Both version show off the buildings well, the adding of the clouds in V2 give the image more depth and sort of frames that view. I would like to see a touch more contrast as for me it does come across a touch grey. But you have capture the scale, shape and layout of the buildings well. |

Oh my he is beautiful. Both images are as strong as each other and I am glad I do not have to pick between them. But I do lean towards the colour as the face is so superb on that one. But look at those amazing feet. I just think they are both magic and wish I had taken them. |

I do have to agree, you focus on the eyes is so spot on that it makes the image as that just catch the viewer and holds them. I must be wired as I don't mind the pillar as it fits with the image of her looking out of the window and you have a nice rim light on the back of the head to separate the head. The problem, it is so well done you can see every flyaway hair and there are many. It is a same that the outside image is so bright but hayho. You have done really well owing to the contrast here that I can only compliment you. |

My god that is outstanding mono conversion, the detail you have pulled back is amazing. That sky is wonderful and is one for the archive. How you pulled back that detail in the foreground is brilliant and makes for a cracking monochrome image to view. Outstanding work. |
