Who needs Photoshop, the natural world can do it all for you, you just have to be in the right place at the right time. What a magical moment to witness. Stunning view as always. |

That must have been nice, what a great sunset. Watching the yacht sailing around and the sun set, just need Whiskey instead of wine.
The colour are wonderful, but the lake is like the rush hour, but did you notice the submarine with the experimental torpedo's. It sunk some of the smaller boats. hehe |

Well your choice of time to take this image is just right. In normal daylight this would not have the same effect as it does with the tones of the background and the lighting on the wheel. Shame you are so tight on the left, but I expect there is some horrible thing that would not fit. But the decay of the wheel against that magnificent building is wonderful. It is a real shame that tree happened to be where it is. Strong lighting image. |

The subtle colours and tones have been handled very well. The big question is "is it bottomless?".
The reflections and the curve and nicely handled. But I do sit here looking at the image wanting more. Specially on the right side, I find it tight and would have liked to see more of how it sits in its surroundings if you get what I mean. But this is very well-handled image. |

Great idea for an image and your framing is great, the colours to the front really punch you in the face and then you fight through to the stormy mountain in the back. it does work.
For me it would have been better if you did two images, one for the trees at the front say at f8 so they are sharp and will really shine with all their glory. Then the second for the rest at f16 and stack in Photoshop. You would have a winner. The light hitting those front trees is marvelous. |

If I looked at the image and not the title or notes. I get the feeling the Seagulls are on a mountain with snow. I agree that all the distractions need to come out and just leave the two gulls. Then you have a nice image of two gulls in flight over ?. |

The colour version will always win with this type of image, but the monochrome has a lot going for it and the tones are good, your highlights are just on the edge. I would have kept as much of the reflection as I could, but the image is very pleasing and getting those trunks black will make the rest stand out. |

This is a pretty image of the lass with her horse, the horse is nicely posed over her shoulder and is looking at the camera and the lass has a pretty smile.
I do find the image a tad dark and is spoilt by this large clump to the fore. So, I would remove, and I would just lift the darks, |

Just to say the original would make a great Jigsaw.
For me the outstanding part of this image is the speed of the water and the effect it is producing when it lands at the bottom. it works so well in monochrome. Both are great composition but could be sharper and the images would pop. But tonal work is spot on, and those two trees sit nicely behind the falls. |

What a great image, you can hear that voice on the radio "Don't go into the Fog". The boat is nicely placed in the frame and the combination of the dark mountains, and the moody clouds and that fog bank makes for a classic image.
Yes, it could do with some tonal work, but little areas need different things, so I had a little play with Luminosity masks, slightly brighten the fog, brighten the boat and its wash, darken the moody clouds and a slight brighten on the bright bits. Add the reflection of the mountains back into the ocean gives more depth. I have removed the bright spots on the mountain that is just choice.
But great image. |

This image shows off the power of Monochrome so well and how much of the image the colour can hide, just look how much that pathway jumps out of the image in the monochrome from something in the colour that passes you by. The detail, tones and lighting come out superbly.
I could not improve this image and I just love the simplicity of it, it also shows off the power of three. Well done.
I hope the day was a fitting success in the memory of your daughter. |
