I would have loved to do a landscape, but some twit park a quad bike right in my line and there is a telegraph pole in the middle of the gallops. So they all had to be portrait. |

They are not roads they are a set of gallops up the side of the hill. They are heading to the main gallop and this is the smaller gallop and they are on a cross track. I chose this format as it showed of the valley beyond and how steep the gallop is beyond. |

This puts a smile on my face, peace and calm and a mad world and I think that sometimes people should remember this is what we can have.
But it makes me remember my dad, many an early morning with the mist rising I would have to go find him as he will be somewhere in those reads with his rod.
Just full of mood and joy for me and that flight of geese adds to the magic. Thank you |

So sorry to hear about work, do hope you find new employment soon, as being in the final unemployment my next sacking will definitely be the last.
Have seen million of images in my life time, in work and judging, my first impression when opening this was "over processed". I think you processing is nearly there but I think you have push it say 10% to far that gives you the feel of over processing, so it gives a slightly false feel to the image.
You say that you are learning photoshop off YouTube, also watch some of the fine art workers and how they use light and how you can get Photoshop to relight an image.
There are lots to watch, rafy A is great to watch.
This image is very dramatic, but I would a touch more depth as those far builds are a little bit to bright. This is a strong effort so keep practicing and get more subtle. |

Mo, you have captured her on one of her showy days and the light on the top is magic. But you have had all the praise so I am going to moan. I know how bad it is to stop and take pictures in the UK, narrow roads, no parking spots and wired fencing or eight feet high hedges everywhere.
But when you get the chance of an image like this, take the chance and just get out and take the picture and let everyone waiting wait.
I think you may have missed a great shot here, the tree on the left looks very dramatic and you have that good tree in the middle, the fence does not add to the images, so getting up to the fence and moving slightly to the right you may have one dramatic shot that will do you well in good comps.
The light on the middle tree does look special so using both could have been something else.
But she does look beautiful and brings back many memories of walking to the top in conditions like that. Well done. |

Looks like a map of the UK from the midlands upwards and the bit coming in on the left is the Ilse of Man and its flooded, well that is not that far off the truth.
Your timing on the exposure is very good and the colour and tones are lovely. I do wonder if a slight move around to the left would have suited better.
This is very similar angle to the image last month, did you try getting down to a say a meter off the ground to see how the image sits with the water just to try something different? |

It is one of those places that where ever you point you camera your going to get a dramatic shot, the contrast between the green and black is very strong here. For my taste I would have liked a wider images as it would have been nice to have the outer edges. This is glorious early morning a late evening when you have clear skies. Some on Iceland call this the Heart Rock and if you look closely you can see why.
All I have done with my version is to sharpen the image and then mask that off accept for the bottom 20% just to give you some more detail in the foreground.

One crit, could you take half a step back so you could get the whole sign in on the right. Otherwise a good social image showing off the inner working of the shop/trading post. Could be a tad sharper. But interesting to see. |

I love taking image like this, the symmetry is very good and the detail is all there, I would like a touch more contrast in the image as I think this will add that bit of depth to the image. But perfect composition. |

This image is all about the impact of that face and how it sits in its surrounds. The light streak helps to lead you down the path and you see the people and the buildings have a great feel of a snowy day. But that face is great. |

Its is very nice to capture the bird at the top of the tree and it is nice with the wispy branches, but with the solid grey sky and the bird not being 100% pin sharp I am not sure if this is the best image for mono conversion. |
