Recommend it, specially if you like Whisky as Oban has one of the best Whisky shops. Might need to book accommodation for after all the taisting. |

This is a lovely travel style image, great timing for the boat as that is in the perfect position and has the perfect wake. The tone of the is nice and fits the day and the weather. I would not darken the sky as it would look false, you could find a similar day with wispy clouds and change the sky, but not darken.
Now I am going to argue, is the man needed or does he take away from the image, yes he adds scale, but he is facing the wrong way, for me he is a touch to close to the lighthouse and draws the eye away from the main image. Taking him away does turn it into a nice travel image and I think you should have paid him more to stand in a better position for me.
Nice image by the way. |

This is well taken and the composition is spot on, the building is sharp and nicely in decay. That one bit of graffiti catches the eye which is good. The gap draws you in.
But I am going to be different from the rest, as I look at this and I am left wanting more, its one of those images that leaves you with what? What would it look like if he went through that gap. Why hide it behind those bushes that for don't do anything. It just left me wanting more. Hope you get what I mean. |

Oh god this is really bad, but I opened this image and instantly thought of John Wayne sitting on his horse in Chisum.
What a lovely image, nicely balanced and framed, I must admit I don't mind the white clouds as I think they balance out the bright sun area on the horizon. Worth all the effort to get this. Cracker. |

When the wife came back from her trip there, she said the same. Said it must be like being on Mars with air. If you fit and capable it must be one of your 10 places to visit before your die. Looks like you had a good visit but the weather was not your friend. Nice steam. |

An interesting subject that I have to agree in the mono version removing the boats makes for a more powerful image and uses the light and shadow to tell the story. The man then pops in the image. However in the colour its the opposite I would work on the tones of the boats as the are a touch over exposed and then that will tell another story. So not bad, two images in one. |

I like your choice of angle and crop and the way it has been used the frame the other building in the distance. The muted tones seem to fit the area. However it comes down to taste and it not one that I can get excited about. |

The pose and the set up of the two dancers is great even if the legs are off level, that stare is intimidating, but the shape is emotional. Now the question for me is how good at PS are you, as these two need taking out this background and putting into another seen as the setting does not suit them. I must say that I prefer the colour version as the red is so powerful and you can easily do things about the house. Good effort, do more. |

You have chosen a lovely spot to take you picture and the IR has done a nice effect to the image. The shape of the river does lead the viewer nicely through the image and the clouds and sky complement the image well. However I find the foreground foliage is acting as a block for the viewers eye to go through the image and enjoy the view. With a slight crop from the bottom this image improves 10 fold. |

I love the composition of this image and the mono version is much stronger than the colour. I would remove that little stem bottom right, it's annoying. The clouds do add to the image well. Tonal wise its not that bad, I would select the truck as the surroundings are fine and see if you can lift the truck from the back ground a touch. The example is just to far and looks like someone has turned their headlights on.
There is however a nasty little halo around the right mirror and the right side of the roof that needs to be sorted.
The image has impact. |
