Having seen this light that you get myself but before I picked up a camera I know how fantastically beautifully beautiful this is and this brings back some fond memories.
Lovely image. |

We all go out looking for barn finds, you go out and find the barns and what a beauty. They have also been very nice and placed an amazing tree beside it, fantastic find and one for many visits. For me, I would have like you to take a couple of steps to the left just to get a touch more separations from the tree and just to break that strait line of the grass.
I wanted to see if it worked as a monochrome, was ok but worked better as a toned sepia. Now you just need the old farmer to ride in on his old fergie. |

Oh I look at this and all I can think is that I wish you had got in closer to the plough and used it more with the rainbow, I think you missed a really dramatic image here. The layers and the rainbow is nice but the plough just sits there and for me does not come into it. I know the farmer was standing there with his shotgun waiting for you to put one foot on his land, but all the top photographer do say you have to die for your photography.
Like Bob's toning. |

I looked at this and the cash register went off in my head. The blue works and give the image great depth and your eye is drawn to the centre of the image. I do think you have a touch to much sky that unbalances the image and draws away from the important part. So a crop to the bright spot works better.
Now, this needs a sharpen in smart sharpen and then have a try printing this on Aluminium or equivalent and this could pop and would sell well to the public. |

I showed this image to my wife and not your words and her first comment was "I can smell it from here, oh my its a wondrous mythical place, but it stinks"
One day we will have smellavision imaging.
Love to composition and that lady in Red is just right to break the colour space. Sums the place up perfectly. |

Being someone from the other side of the pond, I take it that the badlands are the one in South Dakota.
This is a dramatic image with a fantastic sky and must have been a wondrous sight to see. The effect must have got even better the lower that light got. Good shot. |

Great image to show this place off, the colour version works so well for the houses and makes them stand out so well, but the mono image is so much better for those wonderful peaks at the back.
I know you're going to say there was a truck or a block of flats or something, but I do find that the buildings are very tight in the frame and could do with some room to breathe. |

This does show off the power of this planet well, with those three vastly distinctive and different layers of the planet and how important is that tree for holding the image and scale.
I do agree that the work you have done has turned the sand into a form that would appear if a dragon had breathed fire on it. Both alternatives work in their own way but I do wonder if having that small touch of the sky gives the viewer a touch more of reality. |

This is a beautifully composed image using the natural bend in the river to its full effect, the placement of the mountain and its reflection is wonderful and I would have loved to have been there.
I do agree that the mountain and river could do with a touch more contrast a depth as it is coming across a touch flat. I think David is very close to perfect where Larry has pushed it too far and is taking away from the beauty of the image. Well done. |

This is a picture of our time and would be seen worldwide, unfortunately over here the one thing missing is the one silly parent sitting on the seat with a child on the slide, or three teenagers drinking beer.
Very well taken with great tones and spot-on detail, I would have lifted the camera a touch a tilted down so you got a touch more separation with the slide. |

This is a great spot and nearly perfectly composed image for the situation, if I was a viewer without your description it would leave so many questions of what was going on, I must admit a ticket box does not come to mind, coffee house or bar. The contrast of the different dress of the main people is brilliant and with just the one looking at you is magic. My one niggle is cutting his elbow off, otherwise magic. |

What a neat little toy to have some great fun with, the DOF and focal point are going to produce some amazingly interesting image and is going to be fun to experiment with. Does give the feel of the old days when we used to smear vaseline on the lens to get these effects. I look forward to some more dynamic images. |
