Well spotted scene that you have taken well, I get the feeling that it is high in yellow but that just could be the sunlight.
I cannot get away from the one thing in this image that does not fit. Run down fences and post and an old rusty green gate to the left, but right in the middle is this newish looking green gate that dominates the scene. So I wondered what it would look like without it. |

The story of this image is that beautiful moon and the reflection of the moon and the building on the water. The moon has not been kind and been a little higher so you get a better reflection of it, but the colours and the lines of reflections working with the buildings is the strength of this image and that is where the viewer needs to focus.
This is well taken and must have been a delight to witness but I do thing you could have got a stronger angle to enhance those reflection lines and the buildings to then be enhanced by that wonderful moon. Still and lovely image to view. |

Now how to copy that and save it as a curve template. Well spotted image of a man made landscape that works well.
I do agree with Bob that this image is so much better in Monochrome. |

Good Super Moon image, great colour and I love the inclusion of the buildings, I don't mind the position of the moon and think it adds to the image. Add some snow which is easy in PS and you have room for Merry Christmas. Card for next year.
Good image. |

Have to agree your trigger finger is just right and you have captured a lovely image, I agree with the crop as it makes that wave more powerful.
When you take these type of images it is advisable to shoot 1 to 1.5 stops under exposed so you catch as much of the whites in those wave tops. You can always bring back your shadows. |

Welcome and good starting image full of interesting architecture that you have placed well in the frame. Your camera has captured it beautifully and the detail is spot on, but I am not a great fan of tints and for me the vignette is a touch strong and invading the image that I want to see. For me a straight well tone B&W full of your great detail would have suited. |

Bloody Magic!
Makes your brain go round in so many circles asking so many question and coming up with no answers. Now that is what photography is about.
You could make her and a small area around her half a stop lighter. |

I think you have composed a beautifully flowing leaf image that works and has a nice balance of shades. I happen to disagree about the bright areas, I think the one top center and the base of the stem work well together as a balancing in the image. The bright area that does spoil it is the burn out spot between these on the tip of the leaf and could be cloned/toned from the centre.
Lovely image though. |

I have to agree with everyone else, great abstract image that most of us would walk past on a cold day and not give a thought to, maybe we should stop and think what is around us.
As for Vincent comment about carrying a camera around with us, I agree and we nearly all do this as our mobile phone has a camera that is quite capable to take images like this, but we just forget about it.
The question is what do you do with this image, it is a nice black and white for the club comp maybe, it is not one as it stands to hand on the wall as it does not have the impact or subtleness one would want. So do you do something digital to it. One idea would be to select all the hard white lines, make a new layer of these and using the neon filter and apply a slight glow, you could do this is a shade of blue. I only mention it as I have seen a very similar image done that way and it look spectacular.
Time we all looked a little closer at what is around us. |
