What this does show off well, is from mass destruction does come beauty. In 1980 this was the scene of hell and now it is a thing of beauty and a pleasure to go a see and give it another 20 years nature will claim even more. |

I really like the size and scale of this image, that long line down the road give he views eye time to settle on that beautifully focused building. The reflections and lighting in the road makes the image for me as it adds so much depth to the picture and gives it a sort of life, but I find the square crop loses that and really just becomes an image of the building. This is a strong image and should be left along accept for losing that horrible brown keyline. |

I have to agree with Bob Wills idea of Monochrome for this image and then use Luminosity Mask to separate the tonal areas to get a touch more balance.
Maybe when you go back with a tripod think of taking a set of five images and combining them in LR to give you the large HDR Raw file, this then will give you the depth that you need. |

This would have been a lovely landscape of the peaks on its own with the nice Norway tones that you have, but to then have that storm coming down that Fjord adds impact and power. Great picture and a classic moment in time that does not need to be altered. |

Larry, really great to see you back. But that does not look a nice place to be, I look at this and feel landslides, rain and cold. The depth is there thanks to that bright area at the top that makes your eye follow through the valley. A tad sharper in the foreground would be nicer. But a pleasing landscape. |

Lois, Happy New year to you and glad to see you back and well.
Very pleasing subject for this snap of the chapel and I love that wisp of cloud you have in the sky and how it just floats around the steeple. Your choice of tint is nice for the image you have. But I look at this picture and my brain wants to see more and I just cannot get away from that feeling which is a shame. |

You have composed a very strong image which shows off the street very well. However I think your processing has not worked very well and is to strong and is causing some problems. When using Efex you need to watch out for the hard edge effects you are getting here with the black shadow and the hard white line and the whole image just feels so brittle. Sorry. Worth trying again. |

You have captured the explosive moment well and the movement is all there, the seeds are nicely spread. There is a good tonality but I find that the bright strands maybe a touch burnt out. But I wish there was a touch more room top and side to get more of the explosion. |

Another of your magical strong images of the desert dunes and the wonderful shapes and patterns you get from them. I love those lines in the hard edges which I have never seen before. You have very good tones and contrast and it makes a lovely image to view. |

I also have to agree with all the statements made.
I know we are a Monochrome circle, but that colour image does work so much better. The droplet with the tree stands out so much better and it then becomes its own world within the world of the image. You see the house in the distance and wonder who lives there. Magic image. |
