I looked at this for quite a while and then left it and went and did all the other first to come back to it.
I find this a very attractive mountain picture with some nice tones and that lovely glow around the back of the main peak. The image is made by that little mound in the middle right that looks so delicate against these great beasts. Then you have this beast on the left that is causing me problems as I find it very dark and oppressive. But then you look closer and looks like a rock monster attacking that delicate mound in the middle.
I would crop in from the left to where the land starts rising up again as the image is better balanced. But very pleaing mountain scene. |

This has Wow factor and impact when you first open it, the tree and the beach is handled beautifully and the encroaching sunrise is spot on and I cannot flaw it.
But I do have a problem with the item added by man, I find your vignette very heavy and is competing with the tree and I do wonder weather and softer vignette or none at all is need hear as you do have the tree tight in the frame.
Fantastic image. |

The IR has produced some fascinating tones and colours which has given us a very good image to view. But as a photographer and having a photographers eye I look at this and do wonder if this would have made an even better composition if your had moved one large pace to the left, this would have just freed the mountain from the flag pole. The pole would not have broken the central grass area of the road or walkway. Its just little things that make a very good picture GREAT. But love the tonality. |

I have to agree here that I think you have push your processing to far for the image and have lost the feeling that was there. It is an amazing place up in the clouds and you have captured and pleasing view of this rest place. I like the lines of the paths leading you to the building.
I think you needed to just bring out some of the detail but leave us the viewer with the feeling of what you saw.
I have tried to do that by first pulling out detail and tones in various places in the mountain but mainly concentrating on the building and the mountains over there. I have applied an 85 photo filter just to add a very small amount of warmth. I then placed a layer mask on this and with a 3% soft brush painted back the clouds and mist into the image to give the effect you had but retaining the detail I pulled out. |

I think the person that designed this structure must have been a photographer or had an great eye for an image. I don't think you could stand anywhere and get a bad shot, this looks amazing. You mono conversions and contrast is great and I think its worth spending all the money just to photograph this structure.
Fabulous picture. I am now off to find out about Creative Tonality?
Oh Sad now it's one of those bad programmes for horrible Mac users only. lol |

For my eyes I prefer the first original image show with the more subtle tones and contrast and detail. This I find more pleasing than the blown highlights and harsh contrast.
I have to disagree about the centre point of interest as that tree truck is brilliant and sits nicely in the frame and the shape of the tree leads you in to the rest of the image.
Once you have finished with all that wonderful foliage you start imaging what is in that dark building.
This is a lovely picture and works for me. |

I think you have found a lovely image here and have produced a good composition. I am glad that you did not chose to straighten the image as I think that may have spoiled the image. I like the conversion to mono but do wonder if the frame actually adds anything to the frame.
If you look closely I find that the Nik Efex processing has left the darker birds (the ones with their back to us) with halo's and with lines which are easily removed with the clone stamp tool. Pleasing picture. |
