Thanks! I did post my bio a few days ago. I submitted a print of this for my club competition this week and the judge agreed with you giving it the highest score of the night. |

Thank you very much. I haven't spent much time in photoshop for the past 12 years, but I was a heavy user before that. Things have come a long way, but I now find myself doing most edits in lightroom. Youtube has been a godsend getting me back into the editing game. |

I see a lot of potential in this image. This is one in which seeing the original would be helpful. Composition is wonderful which can be tricky sometimes when photographing trains. The double set of rails really helps pull your eyes through the photograph. I would love more contrast and detail in the sky though. If this was my image I would remove the houses on the right and maybe the fence on the left. I would also try to burn the shadows created by the train to lighten them up. With a composition this nice I don't mind spending the extra time in photoshop to compensate for those things you cant control. |

I just think of the cost of the tires when I see a vehicle like this. We think photography is expensive :) I enjoy pictures of mechanical things and there is a lot to look at in this one. The colors are great and its a very impactful image. |

I'm a little more concerned about how he is holding the steering wheel than his seatbelt! I have one son who still doesn't have his license and is at college now. Teaching the kids to drive is about as scarry as it gets! |

I like this and see a lot of different ways it could be photographed. I would love to see this converted to a black and white image with a tighter crop focusing on just the woodpile, straight on at a lower angle, but you would loose the context of the woodpile as a vital ingredient of the pizza production going on in the background. Nice job. |

Dragonflies and damselflies are a particular interest of mine and I am sure you will see some of mine posted in the future. What I like the most is the transparency of the water surface giving depth to the photo. Looking at the original, you did a really nice job of bringing the image back, and I don't think there is a lot more that editing would do to improve the image. In the future you may want to look at using a little fill flash to get some more light on the subject. The dragonfly pictures of mine that I like the best are shot on cloudy days or early or late in the day to eliminate that harsh light. |
