39 Jul 21 Comment Thanks Paul. Please note the response to Jerry's comment. Jul 23rd
39 Jul 21 Reply Thanks Jerry. The photographer in the image is a photographer friend and doing dune photography. Little did he realize that I took his image! Further he has moved towards the dune from the lower left, climbed that dune where you see his footprints and then got positioned to shoot. I arrived to the point from where I took the image from the right. If he had seen me already in this position as he was moving up, he would have asked me whether he was in the way. After I took the image he did shout out if he is a distraction! Jul 23rd
39 Jul 21 Reply Thanks Dave. Indeed he is a photographer friend and he is doing his photography without being conscious that he has become my subject! Jul 23rd
39 Jul 21 Comment Great location and most apt for a mono fine art image. The conversion is good, but there is an issue with the sky that can be easily corrected as I see good tones in the sky with the original. Probably a mask there would help. The tonality makes this image striking. Good light to you Larry. Jul 23rd
39 Jul 21 Comment Interesting image Vincent to introspect. I may read the image quite differently than what the author intended. I like the stairs but cannot make out the pose of the woman. Probably as mentioned it is got to do with the attitude that you intended for the purpose. The mono conversion and tones are good. Good light to you Vincent. Jul 23rd
39 Jul 21 Comment Paul, a very nice image to hang on the wall. The composition, S curve is beautiful and pulls the eye into the picture. I note the middle tone mountain on both sides is sharpened a bit more than required and has a halo. I am sure that can be taken care of easily since on an enlargement it would show up more prominently. Also using a mask the upper half would need a bit of contrast if it can be done gently. Good light to you Paul. Jul 23rd
39 Jul 21 Comment Beautiful image Jerry. You surprise me with your iPhonography as always. When the guys at YPS had your presentation, I informed them get prepared to be inspired. I missed the event due to my hospital work and also I am a rare creature if you would call...since I do not use a mobile phone even for the routine! Coming to your image....it is spectacular. Nitpicking, I would prefer some more blacks on the rocks to create contrast in the lower half of the frame so that the whites sparkle. Good light to you Jerry. Jul 23rd
39 Jul 21 Comment Good effort here. Technically difficult to get the specs in considering how close you are to the subject. The depth of field is compromised. However if the important eye of the subject which essentially makes an image is sharp then it works. Still a good try Dave. Jul 23rd
