Interesting one Larry. I agree with Jerry and Dave, for me too it is about the man and the shadow, since the boats are dividing the attention and they are in tension zone. If you have more of the temple shadow it would help. Still interesting. |

Interesting image. I note the specs of F22 at 1/30. It is also a tightly composed shot. The washed out sky does not add appeal to the image. I note it is an icon and you have good reasons for the photo. |

Very interesting. I agree the background may not be appropriate. Though a 2.8 was used still the separation has not been achieved. I like the effort from Larry in this regard. It is unusual to have a ballet dancer in this setting, but yes it does take off on a contemporary feel with a difference. The emotion portrayed helps one to stay in the image and ponder. The highlights in the background also need some treatment. Overall a good image that sets the viewer to introspect and derive more. There are many photo artists that take dance photography outdoors though it is not the normal. Check out Dane Shitagi, Yanis Ourabah's work. |

Interesting. A bit more of expression/emotion would help as I find her a bit stiff. Also there is tension at the left due to the tight crop. I am not sure due to the processing her eyebrows have been affected. The mix of softness in post processing and incident harsh light has not helped much for this character. Still a good try. |

Very nice Jerry. I note the statements on the foliage part which is a personal preference. I like the surrealistic feel where the blues of the sky go deep dark and the greens turn to white and tones of grey. I like the effect and this style of photography during the analogue days it was much appreciated. Good one Jerry. |

Very nice image Dave. That sure is a bold look and I like the mono version, more dramatic and a clear statement. The color would be a distraction on the mood created. The clouds add to the ambiance. I agree with Jerry, the blacks need a bit of dodging. I am not sure why the name has been smudged out. |
