Good one Larry. I note it is a rescue operation of the file here and you did do your best to make it meaningful. The image has emotion and gives you a feeling of a time gone by. I note that you don't have much space at the base to include more. Images taken in the analogue medium and their conversion to digital are always a challenge. |

Interesting one. The tone used lifts the image. A pixel stroke around is needed. Good one Steve. |

A good try Vincent no doubt. I echo each sentence by Paul. These are the basics and once you get hold on to the set up, then you can make many interesting portraits. As a portraitist turned landscapist I feel the connect between subject and author is missing. It takes time and I always believe the technicalities are 20% and psychology and eliciting an emotion expression is 80%. I am sure you will make more attempts to master the technique and create interesting portraits. |

Interesting one Paul. You made a good image out of ordinary subjects. I like the approach with camera position in line along with the resulting tones. I felt it a bit tight and would want more space around. Particularly the top and base has some tension. Good one. |

Beautiful image Jerry. The lines, texture, lighting; the blacks and whites with great tone are very good. Loved it. |

The subject is interesting due to the texture. I look for such subjects with a natural history ambiance. I do understand the challenges. Furthermore the light and the deep shadow are a concern. |
