39 Apr 26 Comment I bet you will have similar images. I really enjoyed taking pictures there! Apr 19th
39 Apr 26 Comment I like this a lot more! Remember that I prefer more contrasty B&W images! Did you saturate the color image and then convert it to a mono image? Apr 12th
39 Apr 26 Comment I like the image as it is! Apr 10th
39 Apr 26 Comment I really liked your picture of the blossoms on trees, which hold their blooms for such a short amount of time. I really like the monochrome treatment of the white flowers and the black branches in background.
You said that you were desaturating the image. Did you mean to leave the green leaves with that color? It's sort of grabs my attention away from the white flowers.
However, you wish to keep it, it's an excellent image!

39 Apr 26 Comment Very nice image, Mary ann! What a great idea to open up the farms to artists. Did the artist share any of their work with the farms?
This image needs some more contrast in order to make it pop. In your description, you said that you reduce the saturation to zero and then converted it to a mono. Try increasing your saturation substantially and then converting to mono. You need to have more saturation when you make the mono conversion in order to have a lot of contrast. A good mono image can benefit from a saturated color starting point. Give it a try and see what you think.
Have you tried a version of the image cropped so that the truck? Is out of the center maybe a little to the left and lower?
Make sure you let us know the dates of this event next year!

39 Apr 26 Comment I love these kind of shots. It makes you think about what the subject is and makes you look closer. I prefer the crop similar to the original that Paul provided. I don't like cutting off the circle with the crop. I think the circle is part of the image. Nice shot. Amazing that even with 12 mm lens you were still this close to the subject! Apr 10th
39 Apr 26 Comment I really like the black-and-white treatment. It allows you to focus on the car.
Have you thought about giving the front of the car a little more room and taking it away from the back with the crop? Nice, Sharp focus!

39 Apr 26 Comment I have never been to the Antarctic, and you have caught a great moment! I really like the snow cliffs with the black-and-white treatment. The blue in your original is a little much.
With or without the whales this would be an excellent image and the whales just make it that much better.

39 Apr 26 Comment Very nice image, David. Nice use of foreground and background!
Have you tried the composition with the bench lower in the scene?
I feel like I am getting pulled from the water and from the snow at the same time.
Just a thought, but very nice image.

39 Apr 26 Comment Thanks! I do have a lot of images to go through. Apr 7th
39 Apr 26 Reply Thanks! Almost every where I went there were really interesting image possibilities. I really like this one because of the early morning light. I am not 100% positive on the hiking trail question but it would not surprise me. This shot was taken at an overlook very close to the main road. Apr 3rd
