39 Feb 26 Comment I like the image a lot. Anytime you can make someone look closer to see what is going on, you have a success. I had to look a long time. The only suggestion I would make is to darken the image and increase the whites to get at some more contrast. I always want more contrast in a B&W image and that is just my taste and may not be yours. Feb 12th

39 Feb 26 Comment Thanks very much for your comments. I don't believe I have ever had a photograph compared to a cake! Thanks again.

39 Feb 26 Comment I love taking pictures in the fog! I wish we had more fog around where I live. I think there's a good balance between the foggy background and the dark ducks. Very nice image. Feb 5th
39 Feb 26 Comment Very interesting image! I know you were trying to go for the high key look, but there is an awful lot of white in the background. I wonder if there's any detail at all in the sky that you might be able to pull out of your file. David made a good suggestion of combining to exposures or two images to have some background.
Lots of different ways to present the subject!

39 Feb 26 Comment Very nice street photography! Good capture of the two people speaking. I agree with David suggestion about a yet helping you to focus attention on the subject. Feb 5th
39 Feb 26 Comment Very nice bird image! It's a very unusual background with the water. I'm not sure how I feel about the white caps on the bottom left. They grabbed my attention.
It sounds like you have a heck of a camera system for bird photography! Sometimes when I am exposing images that could have a bright highlight in the subject, I set my camera to expose for the highlights, and that could help even if the rest of the image turns out dark. It's easier for me to increase the exposure of the dark than to reduce exposure if the image is too bright. Good action shot!

39 Feb 26 Reply I will try to lighten up the black areas to see how much detail there is. Thanks for the suggestion. Feb 5th
39 Feb 26 Comment This is a very nice portrait! Portraiture is something I'm not very good at. I like the square format of the image. The square window in the back adds depth to the image. The window does grab my attention and I wonder if it could be darken down a touch. It looks like you darken down the corners and that makes for a nice touch. Lovely granddaughter.
