Nicely done image! I like the mono image better than the Color Image because it forces me to look at some of the details. I especially like the ability to see the driver's face!
Excellent action shot. |

You folks traveling around Europe make me envious! I like the subject a lot. The granite really lends itself to Monochrome.
The composition you have chosen tells a real story. I am not certain if the half of the body on the left is helpful. I would want the viewer to focus directly on the Priest. I might also add some contrast by adding some black to the dark areas. Perhaps darken the edges a little to further guide the viewer to the Priest?
Very nice image! |

What a great subject to have near you! I look at the boat and I bet there are hundreds of other compositions and especially closeup images which could be taken there.
The blacks and whites in the boat are really good with lots of contrast. I wonder how the image would look with sand a little brighter and a darker sky (if there is more detail in the sky). A little painted light might draw the viewer's attention (on the boat).
A couple of nits -- watch the Lightroom Adaptive Mono. I have not had much luck with it but it is new. Also I would remove the person behind the boat and some of the other stuff going on on the left which grabs my eye.
Good job with this image! |

I like the simplicity of this image. I thought it was a wind mill but without the third blade I wasn't certain. It is a really good subject for a monochrome. I see a glow around the structure and I don't know how I feel about that but it is interesting.
Nice job hand holding the camera! |

Very well done black and white! Good blacks and good whites and plenty of contrast. I like the subject treatment in your extra image (side view) and I will bet that is the more frequently taken shot. Your shot really jumps out at me. I need to look around it to see what is in the image. Well done! |

I like the image a lot! Perfect subject matter for a B&W image (dark, crappy weather, people walking around). It is excellent that you were able to capture all of this with a JPEG. Phone cameras are something else. The increased contrast really improved n the original (IMO). |
