Thanks Pete! I like your approach. I'll probably enter this one into a sport or photojournalism category so I wouldn't be able to make those kinds of adjustments but thanks for the ideas! And thank you for taking over as coordinator while Barbara is recovering. |

Hi Richard. This captures a lovely moment. Your daughter looks very proud! I like the fact that we can see her face and expression clearly. I would have liked to have seen your grand daughter's eyes as well. Even if she had just tilted her cap up slightly. That would have helped us to see her focus and concentration. I think the crop here has worked well, bringing us close to the action. |

Hi Sophia. I agree about those eyes. I also like the expression on his face. The slight blur in his hand also shows us that he is actually playing the instrument. I like the overall colour. I think it looks natural. I think darkening down the background slightly would bring the focus even more onto that wonderful subject. |

Hi Mark. I agree with Sophia. You've captured the penguin at the decisive moment and he/she really does seem to have an attitude! I'd consider cropping off some of the right-hand side where that large rock is coming into the image. It's a little overpowering and I think makes the image a little off balance. The colours are very natural and subtle. |

Hi Pete. Well done on capturing the moment that everyone is upside down. I'd consider darkening down some of the highlights on the arm of the ride. They are a little bright and draw the eye. I agree with Sophia about the colours standing out against the black background. |

Hi Anna. I actually like the more painterly feel and if that's what you are going for then I would make it even more so. You could also consider cropping some of the sky at the top out so that the eye is drawn more through to the clouds. I wonder whether the stronger image is just of the trees on the little island. Perhaps a square crop of just that might be worth trying. |

Hi Natalia. A lovely expression on the girl's face. If the opportunity for this type of image comes again, I would come around to the front slightly more so that the nose doesn't cross the cheek. I agree with Richard's tighter crop. I'd also like to see it in black and white? I don't think the colour is really adding anything to the image. I do like the way you have captured her fingers. You can definitely see that she is actually playing. |
