Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
5 Nov 25 Comment Hi Anna. Welcome to the group! I also like the texture in the sky. I'd consider adding a little more light to the water and the boat. I think the boat is positioned in just the right spot and needs a little more light to help it to really pop. The colours in the scene are very natural and peaceful. Nov 11th

5 Nov 25 Comment They really are beautiful birds! Well done Richard on getting a clear shot. No stray twigs or branches. The bird's posture looks very natural and you've even managed to get some eye contact. I'd consider desaturating the green background slightly so that the bird can really pop. I think you could also crop a little more off the top and the left-hand side. Well done though. Your patience paid off! Nov 2nd
5 Nov 25 Comment Hi Sofia. Your choice to convert to black and white was a good one. It's really brought out the texture and lines in the Acropolis. I agree with Richard that perhaps the moon is a little too large. I feel it's competing with the main subject. I would also consider cropping off some of the bottom as I don't feel you need all of that rock and it would bring the viewer closer to the subject. Also consider cropping off the right-hand side a little where there is that stray tree or shrub. As to whether to remove the scaffolding, I personally would leave it as it is part of the story. 5 Nov 25 Comment I really like the black and white conversion Mark. The contrast is very effective. I also like your chosen shutter speed. It has smoothed out the water but leaves enough movement to still give it energy. I'd consider cropping off some of the right-hand side as I don't feel you need all that rock and the image feels a little too central at the moment. Overall it has a very moody feel to it which I like. Nov 2nd
5 Nov 25 Comment Hi Oliver. That road is a strong leading line through to the house and the hills. Your chosen viewpoint works well here. I also like the play of light and shadows on the crop. I think perhaps you could consider toning down the clouds just a little more. My eye does keep getting drawn to that prominent power pole at the front, which does lean a fair bit. I'm not sure there's much you could do about that. Whether you could try some selective perspective correction? The colours are very natural and the greens and yellow complement each other. Nov 2nd
5 Nov 25 Comment A lovely peaceful image Natalia. I agree that the reflections mostly work well here. I feel that the reflections at the top, particularly the red, do draw our eye away from the duck. I think it would be a stronger image without these. Also consider whether you can tone down some of the highlights in the white feathers. I do like the reflections and patterns in the bottom part of the image as I feel these complement the main subject. A well chosen colour palette. Nov 2nd
