Kathryn, I like the details that the B/W image revealed. I probably would dodge the upper flower to give that individual part of the a brighter look that matches the other two flowers. The image looses the balance that I see in the original color versio.
Also for viewing the B/W image with a black background, let us know where the image starts and stops with a thin white line defining the borders of the image.
Your Leica and lens really show how sharp you image is in both versions.

The details in the B/W version are outstanding. Your catching the fish in the mouth really helps make this a keeper image. Jerry |

Thanks Ken. I kept the clouds soft so they look natural. A blank sky is what I had and the clouds were originally color. It was interesting to pick which clouds from my collection to add to the falls. Jerry |

Very nice lighting. It is interesting that in your conversion to B/W that there seems to still be color in your image? I really like the light painting that you did with a flashlight. I agree with Dave and think you should consider a little more cropping.

Another outstanding dance image. This for sure is one of your best. Love it in B/W.
Because of the black background of the image I would like to see a simple white line separating the photo from the black background.
The tonalities that you have captured are spot on. Jerry

Love your image Paul. The Monk in the foreground adds a lot of interest. He is almost like a Shepard with his staff.
The sky is almost too strong but I will have to admit it gives a strong story with the graveyard.
I think you could dodge the top of the church steeple. It seems to be sort of behind the clouds? Your choice of tones not mine. Jerry

Great job editing Fran. The final B/W image is one that I should hang on the wall of my Gallery. Wonderful details in the lighthouse and you fixing the clouds makes this a very strong image. Beautiful editing. No dodging or burning need here. Jerry

Mossy Tree image.
Nice image Sol. Excellent composition. The placement of the person walking on the trail to the right of the tree is super. The light spots coming out via your area of shooting is always a concern, but they do not bother me. Jerry |

Pam, you did it a gain. A very simple image that tells many stories about the scene. Burr! It's cold outside! Really hits the spot. We are having extreme hot weather in the Midwest and no rain. We have had only a few drops one day since April.
Your image tells a real weather condition with the beautiful sun on the peaks.

A very interesting capture Bob. A road or street going nowhere? And then this wonderful water puddle to capture the STOP sign in the puddle. I always look for these kind of photos but have not found one that works a good as yours. There are many stories that I can see from this image. Jerry |

2 wonderful images Dick. Love them both. Yes I do think the B/W is the best choice.

A finger touch is where you take an image and touch the area that you want of isolate the image with a white background. Everything else is dropped out. I use it a lot with images with a portrait or a small group of people. What happens white lines appear and to works come up. I touch the work Simplify and then select the word save. |

You are correct Bob. I have a color issue that I do not like. I solved that problem by using the same image in Group 39 where it turned it into a B/W image. Jerry |

Really a very strong image Dave. The simplicity shows that this image has covered the gasses. Foreground, Mid ground and Background. I am glad that you kept the bottom important vegetation in the photo. Love the edge of the mountain as well as the stone hotspot of the Sun and it's over bite into the mountain as it should be.
Your winter retreat areas really have paid off with some super images.
Jerry
