The B/W image really is a better image. Good balance from left right. I really like the bottom right hand corner. Great editing.
I do see some of the spots that Dave pointed out. But I really can not find all that he circled?
Keep up the great work Ken.

This image is missing something? Personally, I think you really cropped parts of the image that gives a wider range of tonality. I Like the original image better. The cropped version becomes too complicated for me.
I think if you take you B/W image and actually crop off more on the top, I really becomes a stronger image and simpler image. Jerry |

Very nice Paul. Your backs and white water is outstanding. Great editing. I would probably not go as dark as you did on the sky. You were really at the right place at the right time, with the right equipment and got the shot. Jerry |

Vincent this image is truly outstanding. Bravo!
You framing works so well because of her pose.
Outstanding. I hope you give her a copy of this image.

Thanks everyone. I agree that I was too close on the top. I guess I could have stretched it a bit. Jerry |

Fran, I appreciate your editing to how you felt it should be toned. I think you may have gone a little beyond what a good B/W image needs. Jerry |

I like your cropping from the original. From the building on down you are right on Dave.
I would like for you to consider the clouds from the top down. Clouds need more tooth and some what darker tonality. My eye kind of fall off the image on the upper area. Jerry |

Bob, I again like your grey picture frame instead of the usual line giving separation from the black background. I like how you got the "S" curve in the location. I keep wondering at what height was the camera. Low, shoulder, or higher up? Could make the image darker and add some more drama. |

Thanks Dave. I knew if folks could do this with their big cameras, I could do the same thing with an iPhone. Jerry |

After using AF/AE Lock by holding my finger down until I got the yellow rectangl , I swiped up and down to get the brightness that I wanted. Even thought I did this in the dark and could see everything in the iPhone. |

Sol, being at the right place at the right time is so important, but your creative editing is what makes this an outstanding image. The dark effect really makes a strong dramatic statement. You are one creative person that I enjoy following. I continue to learn from you. Thanks. Jerry |

I just noticed the white line on the left side. I wonder what happened on the transferring from your original to the presentation? |

Goldie's portrait and story makes for a strong image. Your lighting with the catch lights in her eyes is nice. This needs to be printed and framed. The simplistic and minimal approach works. Jerry |

Beautiful Fall colors. I like how you caught your daughter lifting her foot over the log which adds some movement in the still image. The distance between you and your subject makes for a better composition and a perspective of the greatness of the forests. |

Dick, I am impressed with your research and reporting skills. Studying your image, it look like a scary place to be alone? I like how you included your shadow in the photo. The human element in this almost hidden and strange location adds to the story. Your limited editing in Snapseed was just what was needed. Jerry |

Train #97. Dave, you had perfect light for this photo. I like how you got up close for the three quarter shot which had other trains in the left background.
When your back in Wisconsin this summer I will have to get you to the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois. This is the largest Railway Museum in the USA. They have special days that feature working Steam power engines etc. Check out Illinois Railway Museum on the internet. |
