Vincent, this is truly a classic image. To me you have accomplished what I always want my images to tell a story. This image makes me thing of past times and how we used to see the world when we only had B/W images. My thoughts kind of wonder about how things held together for this little church and how probably electricity was added later in the history of the Church.
Your framing of the light pole and electric wires really makes this image. The sky and wonderful light is so good. I would nit change a thing. This is truly a strong image and your editing is outstanding. Jerry |

Paul, you really pulled this one off. The tonality from the bright whites on the basket to the other subtle shades go grey and black work so well. I love the dried plants and the wonderful old time scooter that looks like it would still work.
You could not have arranged this natural still life any better than you found this gem.
I wish this was my photo.
Speaking of Scooters. It is now a big deal with electric scooters for adults buzzing around our home street. They even have lights for night reading. Folks even carry them on to computer trains so they have a mean of transportation at the end of the train ride. |

It is hard to beat color with fireworks, but Dave your rendering is really outstanding.
Your editing and high contrast is excellent. I need to try this sometime. Very strong B/W image. Jerry |

The details in both eyes makes this image for me. I also glad that you had the right lens and location when shooting photos of a live Bear. They are very dangerous animals and somewhat unpredictable. Your B/W version is a vast improvement on the original image. Nice shooting and editing. Jerry |

Fran, I really like your B/W interpretation. Your use of Adobe Camera RAW's controls really help give tonality to the bright areas in the water and still have controlled tones in the dark areas of the rocks. I truly love this image and could see this as a large framed print hanging on the wall of any gallery. Jerry |

Thanks Paul. Your comments are good and it is crazy what can be done with the latest iPhones. I am sort of pushing the envelope with this experiment.
I do truly honor your comments. Really photography is not about the equipment. It is about the photographer that makes the image after his/her editing.
Editing and the intent of the photographer is so important no matter what camera we use. Thanks again. Jerry |

Thanks for sharing your idea of vignette. It is a good idea even though I never vignette that much. Personally I kind of like the image with out that much as you showed. Infrared is kind of a unique beast.
Again this was a test of a new hand held procedure that I can use without always having my tripod with me.
So glad you are in the group. Jerry |

Pam, I think you are correct. I also looking at the image again agree with the over saturated colors. I did crop the wooden structure out and like the image much better.

Thanks Bob. Getting the true color is most important and I may have over stepped the boundaries with this interpretation. Jerry

Sol, you again went wild with excellent editing and got some fun results. The tar patching of cracks is so neat being right on top of the white sidewalk makers. Your creativity comes out again. So sorry about your crazy heat wave in the North West area. Jerry |

Another wonderful image Pam. I can see where your night mode also kicked in and gave good details in the foreground and parts of the roof line. Bravo! I love the works of this group and the experimentations that everyone is doing. I can not believe the heat wave that your area is experiencing. Jerry |

Bob, I love your adventure in creating this outstanding reproduction that you were out to make. I really like how your re-make was like an ole print that had too much sunlight and faded. The only way I know to reproduce the folded edge would be to make a print and make a fold? Your Apple Pencil was a good attempt. So glad that you are trying various experiments. Keep it up and you will have even the folks mastered. Practice Makes Perfect. Jerry |

Nice Dick. The original is true to the exact recording of this natural plant and the Cultivated Bee Balm is outstanding editing. With the blue background, it really stands out. The little light blue spot in the bottom left corner kind of pulls the eye down there. Your call. Jerry |

I like both Dave, but getting up close and really showing the rugged area at the edge of the lake is my favorite. The details really make this image for me. I know Cave Point very well and this shows the dangerous are for me. Many photographers have gotten into trouble and had bad falls on the rocks in this area. Great shadow detail and nothing is blown out Bravo. Wish this image was mine.
