Larry, this is really a very strong image. Outstanding result. This is a keeper and needs to be printed and framed. Jerry |

Dave, do you like your image? Just asking?
First, I would suggest fixing the beautiful house that is going up hill.
Second, You had a nice experiment with a lot of time on task editing. If you like the result, great. To me it looked like you used a brush tool and scribbled in some fake clouds. I commend you for testing and playing. This is so important in photography. Do not stop playing. And thanks again for sharing your result. Jerry |

Vincent, I like the shot. Was this morning or evening. The shadows and the "god rays" in the background are nice. I probably would consider taking out the limbs or twigs in the upper left hand corner.

The reflection is really incredible and I do not see you in the photo. Amazing.
My eyes are pulled down to the sidewalk in front of the bench. It is almost the brightest part of the photo and that is OK if you so want it.
Again, the reflection is so good that the photo almost makes you think you are looking through a window into a huge room. Love it.

Great shot. Love the historic small hobby like Steam Engines. Wonder what they are burning to make the steam to drive around? Could be diesel fuel because the steam is so clear. Sometimes coal can really make black smoke. I like the riders on the back and the driver all looking to the left. Great foreground and background. You had a great position when taking this shot and caught a great moment in time.

Thanks Sol. Stand there at the edge of the soy bean field was unique experience. The fresh air (No smells from farm animals because these modern farmers make their money with beans and corn).
Living in suburbia I realized how these farm folks see a sunrise and sunset with out any other buildings blocking their view.
The barns are really not used any more but are historic buildings from their forefathers that homesteaded the land years ago. |

Very creative Sol. You made a snapshot into a great shot. You did not mention the nice creative frame which also added to the interest.
I an so glad to be in this group. your sharing and being honest about your concerns is wonderful. I also continue to question what I am doing because we have so many creative choices.
I really did a crazy thing with this month's image. I tried taking the Farm scene that I submitted and turning it into a night time black and white image? You can find it on Group 39. Jerry |

Nice image Pamela.
Your concern about the ice look one the tree branches? This comes from too much sharpening or too much contrast. Try going back into the native camera edits and just make a few changes in contrast and do not sharpen. Then open in snapseed and start over. Using true image, try Ambiance both ways in Tune Image. Again do not sharpen in Details. If Ambiance does not work for you just play around with Highlights and Shadows in Tune Image. My idea is to pull down Highlights and Open up Shadows. Ambiance does both together but is not always controable? Jerry |

Love your image Lynne. Your granddaughter pointing up gives the image action. I am kind of glad that there was not big breeze the day your were there. You have a foreground middle ground and background. Great colors. Your timing was right on. For me you caught that decisive moment. Outstanding image. Jerry |

A very pleasing image Bob.
Nice leading line of the water. Great color. I like your crop off the top. This would make a nice print. Jerry |

So many choices! I agree. you picked good stuff.
I also like the interesting things on the bottom left but it would take a lot of cloning with Touch/Retouch to fill in some of the upper left.
Crazy how our minds work. Your option of less is more works for me.

Dave, I like both images but I really like the original a lot. It has a mood that seems so real like and mysterious.
Your edited image brings out a lot of red in the rocks which I have never seen before and that is OK.
The more we play the more options we have and that is both good and can also force us to what do we really like from our images?
