Vincent, I love old castles and have visited many in Tuscany, Italy and Ireland and where my great grandfathers came from in Switzerland. Yours is really amazing. I like how you brought out the clouds in the revision. The textures in the remaining old rocks that still hang together is amazing. I also agree that you image would have a stronger composition with some cropping on the bottom. I would crop almost until you come to the first rocks on the bottom right or up to the flat floor area on the left. The 3 visitors on the top really give an interesting compositional strength to the image. Without the visitors it would not have the impact that you captured. Jerry |

Yes, getting that decisive moment is so important in many situations.
I makes just being lucky a lot easier.
Moments like your birds on the sign become a little more possible.
When I was a high school teacher (Band Director), I had one rule.
"Be at the right place, at the right time, with the right equipment and the right attitude, ready to concentrate." It also applies to our photography. |

Wow! Your great tonality and excellent cropping works. I love the quality of dodging to get the back window to shine through so well.
This is a keeper. Jerry |

What a neat shot. I am surprised that the Space Needle was not upside down in the reflection. I have a crystal ball and that is usually what happens to me. A very smart cropping makes this image for me.

Outstanding Paul. I would not change anything on the horse and rider. I would consider darkening the background a tad and the bush on the left side. This jockey would love to have a copy of this image and well as the owner of the horse. Jerry |

Another incredible strong image Mohamed. Your series is truly one of the most outstanding Black and White presentation that I have ever seen of Sand Dunes. The hiking trips you have taken in this unique area has made this a truly World Class Series. Jerry |

Love the shot. Glad you got up early that day. Nice to learn how you set your Micro 4/3 camera to get the decisive moment.
Super simple editing worked great. Love the B/W image. It is a very strong image. Jerry |

Sol, I have always liked B/W. I did one on Group 39 this month of my 8 year old granddaughter blowing bubbles with dirty hands after playing in the dirt. I shot a video with the settings set to shoot 4K and 50 frames a second. Used Video 2 Photo app and was able to capture the frame just before the bubble broke. This is just another little trick that we can do to capture that decisive moment with our iPhones. Jerry |

Thanks Bob. I guess I really never looked at or tried the preset. It is really something that I have over looked. Will give it a try when I have a need. Jerry |

Truly an interesting B/W image that has a certain simplicity and mystery that it is almost like a "who done it" novel. Catching that shadow was so amazing. What a great eye Sol. The quality of the B/W is outstanding and shows what can be done in Snapseed.
With the sun light coming through the window you probably had a very short time line to experiment with location and not even time to take down the framed print on the wall behind the Statue and shoot some more. What is also so neat to me is that the shadow almost looks like it is sitting on a bench or something. Jerry |

What a neat place for a skyline photo. Not being from the East Coast, I would have never know that a place like this was available. Thanks for sharing. Jerry |

A creative painting. Why not. The reds really pop on the bottom. Where did they come from? Jerry |

Yes, I like the shallow depth of field. How did you do that Dave? Tele lens? Please share.
