Interesting image Dave. I really like the main centered flowers and their sharpness. The lower flowers are quite dark and the 3 in the upper left corner are a bit bright. All your choice. Deciding how you want the eye to flow around the image is always a difficult decision. You really did a tight crop which was a good choice. Jerry |

Steve, with a camera like what you have, B/W is it. The exploding highlight in the upper left corner and the wonderful shadow unger the hat make this a very strong image. Nice texture. The centering of the hat from top to bottom does not bother me at all. Would love to see other images of your trip to the Historic farm. Do you have a website? Jerry |

Larry, A very unique image. I agree with Dave that you could create a new layer and pull down the highlight in the sky and then mask the layer so as to not pull down the highlight of the canyon (the rest of the image). Just the Sky. What a neat area to shoot. I have never been to the area but I am sure there is a lot to shoot there. Jerry |

Vincent, what a great image. You have created a mood and sort of a feeling of mystery that makes this a very strong image. This really inspires me to re-think some of my processing. Bravo!
Your editing is perfect and do some more in your personal style. I would encourage to do a series in the style that you have developed. Jerry |

Great idea. I kept waiting for the bridge to clear to take the photo. Next time. I love the Botanic Gardens and have a membership. Things are always changing with the seasons. It truly is is one of the most beautiful places in the entire Chicago area and it is not in Chicago. |

Paul, I love this image. Wonder light and resulting tonality. A very strong B/W image of this veery unique Sea Side area. The stairs at the far right and stone structure near where the boat is tied up gives a feeling of strength and support of the village near by and what could be raging waves in a big storm. |

Nice Sol. You are one creative Dude. I like your intent and creative ventures. The texture selection is super, as is the adjusted blacks. I probably would have done the blur and then went into Stacks (icon with the curved arrow at the top left), Selected the blur layer and then used the brush tool only where I wanted to blur. I probably would not have blurred the 4 tulip bulbs? Your call and your image and just a crazy idea. Jerry |

You had a wonderful capture of this Historic area and good light. Sol's editing idea really makes a better composition and a very strong image. He also cropped a little off the bottom. I would never have though of taking out an area between the trees. So glad I am in the study group. Jerry |

Love everything about this image. Beautiful sky, wonderful colors and catching the swan was perfect timing of your snap. What a great setting for a Spring lunch. A place to go back.
Your swan, yes, Touch/Retouch Clone to for placement on the sky on the left and they clone out the old location. Could be kind of tricky but I think it could be done. Jerry |

Bob, so glad that you could be that close and they gave you time to shoot without taking off. Wonderful birds. Their shape and size of the body always shows that nature is amazing and that they can really fly. This is almost a perfect catch. Love the reflection and foreground. If I were hanging this as a large print on my gallery wall, I would consider cropping off just a little on the top. Love this nature image. Jerry |

Great editing Dick. The final image is beautiful and really show off the Dutchman's Breeches. It is amazing what just a little editing can make a huge difference. Bravo! |

Thanks Sol. Neighbor things are so close to the house that carrying the cellphone around all the time works for me. |

Love this image Dave. I totally agree with Sol. Having your wife model gives the viewer a size perspective that clears the mind gives your image a much stronger impact. Great lighting with everything in it's place. It was almost like having a theatre spotlight on Diane. I like the green moss or algae on the hoodoos. This is a keeper. Jerry |
