Thanks Dave.
Things do change just like the Micro 4/3 cameras have pushed the Big Boy makers to add what Olympus has been doing for some time. |

Steve I had the X and the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max are both incredible. The night mode is to die for.
Do look at the Scott Kelby book iPhone Photography. It is too $$ but worth the $17.

Larry, I like the B/W. I see the people walking away in both shots. The quality of the B/W tones is very impressive. Which of your two images do you like best? Jerry |

Beautiful grandchild and the B/W version is really neat. What did unlucky use to light your granddaughter. It almost looks like a big reflector when I blow up the image. The light on the skin is nice and smooth as is the fleece jacket. So glad you went back to this 2014 saved image. Jerry |

Lovely image. I like the pose of the model and the control of the strong window light with strong details on the model and interior. The result is a wonderful image. Your editing skills have really improved.

I have never been to Scotland and one of my grandfathers was a Scot. The other grandparents were all from Switzerland. Many friends have come back with beautiful images like yours. Old castles and waterways between the islands and areas away from the big cities. My eye is drawn into the lighted mountain peaks. The dark areas really creates a very strong emotional effect for me. It helps tell a story of the weather and this part of Scotland. Jerry

Please keep these Sand Dunes images coming. This series will make a great PSA Portfolio. Go for it!
The undisturbed sand waves shows you made extra walking and climbing to find this location and then your outstanding editing has resulted is a truly superb image. This is an award winner. Jerry |

A winner Dave. Your added motion blur is the kicker! Very sharp image and I love the B/W better than the color which has a really bad orange? (My opinion)
Super conversion. Very impressive! Jerry |

Depth of Field is limited by how close I was to the leaf. There is a fixed f stop for each lens but I do have some control but limited because I did not use my normal lens. I used a add on tele.
Re the April 2021 article in Out door Photographer. I got a totally different read on the Jason Bradley's report. The 12 Pro Max is probably the best cellphone for photographers by far. I am truly just learning a few of the wonders. Limited. Sure compared to DSLRs and Micro 4/3 cameras with inter changeable lens systems. The 12 Pro Max has totally changed what Adobe is doing with PS and adding some of the editing features of the cellphone. Opening quote: "the latest iPhone is a step into the future of photography." |

Actually Slow Shutter app is not a video. It is just a long shutter application. My settings were Motion Blur - Blur Strength Maximum - Shutter Speed 8 seconds - ISO Auto.
You can use a shorter shutter speed and move the camera around faster, or just play around with different combinations until you get combination that you like. |

Nice work Sol. Your creativity continues to amaze me. Keep those juices going. It is truly great to walk around with our spouse and find little landscapes and still life in other places we name not have normally seen. Jerry |

Metadata on your iPhone image? Yes - ViewExif app. Also Pamela, if you have not changed the settings in Slow Shutter app, it will still be and tell you how many seconds was used in your setting.
Yes there really is Mystery in this Morning shot. By the way. Keep your iOS up to date. Right this day it is 14.4.2 The 14. what ever has really improved the native camera editing to so much. Be sure to always try the Auto setting first. It actually effects around ten different tools in the settings. Jerry |

You framing is a perfect way to get a strong image to start with. You husband walking is a great interruption which makes the image even stronger. I really like both images.
By the way. I would like to recommend a book by Scott Kelby. "The iPhone Photography Book". It is kind of $$ high priced at $17. but really worth every penny. In one section he takes about just what you to make this great image. He really has some great tips and a few I have started using and love. One is go to settings - camera - View Outside the Frame. Scott turns this on ad leaves it one all the time. I have done this and love it. This shows you what is above and below on a vertical and on both ends on an horizontal photo. You quickly see if you need to recompose the image. It is a neat tip along with many others. It comes in paper and Kimble. Jerry |

Nice Bob, This would even make a nice panoramic. To me it is so wonderful how well the colors of our iPhone images really are and usually do not need color correction.
If you can easily find this location, it would be neat to do the same image in all kinds of light through out the four seasons. Jerry |
