Here is my 2 cents worth. Probably Larry Crook's is better. I really wanted to bring out the bells. I really wanted to bring out the bells. I did not push for the cracks in the surface and should have. Mine was done on Snapseed on the iPad Pro using the electronic pen. Jerry |

Great shot. Love the details that you captured in the kB/W version. At first the over exposed edges of the light behind the soldier bothered me, but the effect is so striking. It really gives him a look out of the past. The helmet, the glasses and rifle barrel in his hand all add to the image. |

This was shot in the new ProCamera (VividHDR) settings. Expensive app but worth the $$. I used the 16X9 setting for both images. It was my intent to capture as much of the scene in both. My ceiling shot was not intended to get a square typical 4X5 or 4X6 frame. I was leaning back in the chair to capture the image which I probably will never have the chance to shoot again. |

Your B/W image is much stronger than the color. (Speaking for myself.) I would not change the composition. Being off center gives me more reason to look both at your subject and the location. Great tonality and bringing out the age marks in the gentleman makes for a very authentic look. |

I sure like the B/W rendering over the color. Great set-up and results. |

I agree with Richard. The connection between the Aunt and the Boy is so touching. This is a keeper. Hope someone prints this out for a family keepsake?
Wow. Another month of interesting images from our iPhones and Smartphone. I am sure that many of these images would never have been done by carrying around our big Boy and big Girl cameras.

Dave's adding a few little edits really brings out your dog sitting patiently for you to take the photo. Love it.
It almost looks like a cave from erosion back under the tree. Thanks so much for sharing. I teach up in Door County Wisconsin and they are having a lot of problems because the water level of Lake Michigan is so high. The roots and your dog makes this image for me. |

Love the beautiful colors and reflection. The panoramic cropping eliminates all the extra negative space of the blue sky.
Beautiful image. |

I have a grandson that just bought a small farm property with a silo almost like this one except it has a roof on top. Really silos are not a thing of the past and farmers not put the silage out in a pile or in long plastic bags where it ages. It is needed for cows that are miked to keep their stomachs in good order.
I am doing a rural NE Indiana series of Barns and many of these are gone. See: jerryhug.com (Website still need work but is up).
I probably would have used the silo and golf course as the scene. You got more more out of the photo with the one point perspective of the road. |

As long as Phyllis goes along with your imaging, fine. I probably would have used a little reverse (swipe to the left on) Structure on Snapseed. I do this on almost every portrait that I shoot with the iPhone Portrait mode for ladies over 40. They love it. |

Thanks. I did use and forget to mention that I used the NEW ProCamera which now has VividHDR inside the app. This app is by Cocologics. It is a little $$ but worth every penny. Presently it is 20% off! Jerry |

Yes. very seldom you can get super lighting on an indoor shot. Did you use any HDR? The only hot spot is the bottom right corner and it really does not bother me. Great shadow detail. Jerry |
