Lovely image that is tricky to shoot through glass and still get all of these tones. I think getting more excitement in the plane that David did it good, but be careful that you do not want to lighten the sky which already has extreme hot spots. Jerry |

A yes to changing the color version to B/W. The color version is really a distraction to this beautiful position of the dancers. You have emotion, and beauty i of the human element. Jerry |

I like the image Paul. The distant lightness pulls my eye from the big bales into the distant background. What is neat about this image is that the background is on the left or right. Most of my images the background is the top. Love the image. Jerry

Thanks everyone. I really screwed up with the border when resizing the image.
The image was made quickly due to folks wanting to use the steps. I tried to keep as much of the old look on the left side which was designed by one of the very early Chicago architects, Daniel Burnham. The light fixture was a more recent addition but somewhat in the style of the original design. Keeping balance and flow to the stairs with existing light is always a fun challenge. Jerry |

Sand and Rock can be a hard subject because most of everything is mid tones. I wonder if you lightening it up. Possibly a little dodging and burning? |

Yes. You can do it so why not. It really looks like a true watercolor. |

Nice image, especially the foreground rock. I would probably do a little more dodging and burning in the middle ground areas of the rocks. Bring lout the rocks from the trees. |

Love this image. Personally, I probably would not change a thing. |

One idea already expressed is to possibly crop off some of the negative space on the top of the photo. I would probably add a little mid tone contrast to just the building and not the sky. Push the Sturcture in Details in Snapseed and then go into the layers of actions and just paint on the building where you could add a little more excitement. |

We have the ability to do whatever we want with our images. What you like is important because it is your image. Given the fact that you can go back and make subtle changes is even more fun and that freedom is one of the wonders of digital photography. |

Isn't it great that we can carry this little camera around in our pocket and get wonderful images that will last in time (especially if we print them out). Good light and a very photogenic scene that had to be photographed. This image seems to flow from front to back. |
