Steve, welcome to the group. Great image and love the explanation of your editing and workflow. The tonality is truly outstanding. Your edge burning keeps the eyes in the image. I really like how you show something inside the open door that I did not see in the original. There is no question that the wonderful lens that your shooting with help give this image the wonderful details in the stone work. I have only been to San Antonio one time and I am sorry that I missed this beautiful church entrance. Adding a little pull on the top and then darkening it a little would solve the issue mentioned. I have been doing some of this with Snapseed on my iPad editing. Jerry |

This image is my feeling as expressed by David and Arfan Asif. The simplicity makes this a very strong image. Even without a title or explanation my mind wants to put a story with the image. it tells many stories to the viewer. Right on. Jerry |

Paul, I love the location of this image. A unique setting and something that I will never see on the Great Lakes like Lake Michigan which is about 10 miles from our home in Illinois. We have a condo in Indiana near one daughter and 10 of our grandchildren. A beautiful natural lake but no high and low tides.
I would like to see you use a little of your wonderful skills on Luminosity Masks on the sky and the tiny boat drivers cabin. |

Beautiful abstract Dave. This is a great closeup and the depth of field for 7.1 works. I see no noise on my iPad?
Many photographers in todays digital world are adding noise for the look they want. I have done this for an artistic effect and it works for me. The range of tones is wonderful. So, for me, noise in not always a negative.
The beauty of nature is the non repeating of patterns and shown in this image. Jerry |

Thanks Dave. I used Snapseed and toned down and burned in those spots. |

Super image Dave. Your wife added so much to the image. You really get a sense of the size of the caverns. |
