No problem David. I just ordered the new Panasonic Lumix G9 body.
The iPhone will have to stay in my pocket until I learn all of the features and settings. My G8 will go to a granddaughter who is just 18 and doing great things with her style of people photography. Actually I probably use my iPhone to scout images just like I used a viewing scope for my 4X5 and 5X7 film days. I am taking on a project of rural Indiana. Barns, sheds, old homes and farm activities. I taught at a camera club last night and used the statement: It is not the wand, it is the wizard. There was a long wait and finally a few caught the comment. Jerry |

These unique clouds take my breath away just seeing the image. The tidal pool, rocks and a hint of life with the including of a structure all add to the image. The rocks seem to say the waves have weathered me with centuries of time. Seeing a hint of a modern structure puts a date on the image. |

Great highlight tones. This still live works. I also like the black and white stroke for framing. |

Be sure she gets a print of this image for her to show to her family and friends. B/W seems like a image that transcends time. You may consider a very slight edge burn. Jerry |

You have everything in this landscape. Foreground, Middle ground and background and of course the wonderful sky. Love the controlled tonality Paul. |

Yes, another simple beauty that holds me in the image. This is a keeper for hanging on my wall. You captured a place in time with the unknown that causes my mine to create a story. Great capture and I love the simple editing. |

If I did not have Live Photo on my iPhone, I could have used Slow Shutter Cam app. To learn how to use Slow Shutter and also find out about similar Slow Shutter apps, go to "The Russell Brown Show" and see his video on Slow Shutter. Jerry |

Very creative editing and a great through the dirty glass photo. This image almost needs a thin light line border to separate the black sides from the black background. |

Wow! This is really an interesting old structure in decay. Great for this kind of photography. Almost like a Halloween Night? I like the treatment on the building. Just an idea for the sky. If you did want a different treatment for the sky, you can paint in the building and lower part of the trees and ground area and then give the sky a separate treatment. Just an idea. Rad Drew shows how to do this in Snapseed on Youtube. |

Very interesting plants? How did you light the Night Cactus and get all the details in the image against the black background? Did you use the cell phone flash? Any other apps for editing or was this a straight shot? Just a reminder that a thin light line would help separate the photo from the background. Jerry |

So glad you folks got into the Caverns. The last time we traveled to the area, the Caverns were under water. Even the roads into the area were closed. You sure got a sharp image for being in such low light.
Your model's silhouette gives a good sense of the size of the formations. This is one of the National Parks that I must see. Were tripods allowed? How did you hold the iPhone so still. A thin light border would help this image to be separated from the black background. I also like the bright light behind your wife which gives good separation. Bravo! Jerry |
