Mike Moats, a great close-up nature photographer does the same thing. He keeps shooting beyond the peak of the floral displays just like you did. I think you could consider a wider range from blacks to your highlights. I think some selective areas could stand a little brightening. Love the composition, framing and everything about this image. We have some flowers around the house from friends on Carols recovery from a new hip. I am going to play after she goes to bed. Jerry |

Thanks everyone. So sorry I am late getting my comments in. My wife just had a hip replaced and for the past 2 weeks, I have learned how much my wife does around the house. My photography has taken a second seat to her care at home. She is making progress but the pain wears her out. Jerry |

You captured one of the images of my heart and soul. I have been to the Great Sand Dunes in Colorado and always dreamed of the wonderful shadows that you captured. There is always the question of where to you stop when organizing the image in your viewfinder?
The little wonderful peaks cutoff at the top hurt. Possible if you cleaned up the upper left corner, I would feel better. Your call. Jerry |

Love the tree David. Kind of like the Book by the photographer that lost his job and then was hit by a car. A friend suggested that as he begins to heal and walk his dog, take his iPhone and take photos each day. He found a tree like this and shot a photo every day for a year. In all kinds of weather and through the seasons. This is would be a good tree to follow. I do not like the jet contrail but that is want was there. I really like the position of the composition with the color image better. |

The more I look at the image the more I see the story. Shoes off, blank expression of my feet hurt etc. Your textures and back ground works. |

You sure got him in a great smile. His turban and shirt top sets his costume for the Sikhs of India. Wonderful travel photo. The new portrait move of the 6, 7 and 8+ would throw the background a little more out of focus unless he was standing right up against the wall. The quality of the portrait shot of the doorman is truly outstanding. Jerry |

Good sunsets and sun rises are alway hit me in a soft spot. So glad you had your cell phone with you. An advantage in the winter months is that we do not have to be up so early or so late in the evening. Jerry |

Beautiful Landscape. Share looks like a Big Boy camera shot this image. Great simple editing and excellent results. I like your motto - if it is not broke, don't fix it. |
