Love Ghery's work and love to photograph his structures. We have one in Chicago and I have never found the place to get the feelings that I have from yours.
It would be fun to select the clouds and pull back the highlights in Curves or levels and see if the sky becomes a little more dramatic?
I like how you got some of the lines to pop out. I think you had almost perfect lighting conditions. Jerry |

Nice idea and image. The nuts in the background are fine with me but the distraction elements on the upper left side of the image does not seem to help the image. You may consider burning down the image a bit in that area. Also the blurred foreground possible could come down a little as to keep one's eyes in the image. This image really works for B/W. Keep this is up. You have given me some ideas for future images. Jerry |

The sky and featured trees is wonderful. How did the Luminosity Mask help this image? |

That new app sounds like a winner where you have falling down barns, houses etc that should have been demolished for safety concerns. Wow! You sure fooled me. Glad you showed both. Jerry |

This is the beauty of having the Smart cell phone in our pocket. We all have had the same experience. So glad you shot this. Jerry |

Lovely image. There is a lot of sky but I can see why you left it in.
Just a tip I learned on line in YouTube and a tip from Rad Drew on masking in Snapseed. Go to the memory step for Details in Snapseed and use the the little flyout carrot . They take the paint brush and paint with your finger only where you want the image sharpened and more structure. It was mask out the other areas like the sky.
It is almost to good to be true? Try it on another image where you converted it to B/W and then just paint an area where you want it to be B/W and rest will stay masked and remain in color. Jerry |

I like very much. I looked up the app and was very impressed and bought for .99 cents.
The adjustments for shooting B/W are just tremendous. Also there is a section where you can click and go back into your saved images and convert an image into B/W after the fact. For my own taste I like these conveersions better than the simple one in Snapseed?
Many thanks for telling us about Blackie app. Jerry

Sometimes that quick moment where our eyes see a possibility is the best image. Planning is wonderful but that moment of gut feeling turns out to be the "one". I like. This is kind of street photography at the beach. Nobody pays any attention to a photographer with a cell phone. Jerry |

Slow Shutter Cam by Cogitap Software. This works great on waterfalls and car light trails also. Another app is called LongExpo by EyeTap soft but I have never tried it.
Another app that works is ProCam 4 by Samer Azzam. You can use this as a alternative camera and adjust the ISO and the Shutter speed. Works really neat. I have used this also. The shutter adjust down to 1/4 of a second and goes to longer exposures. Jerry |

Wonderful light Dave. Excellent rendering and very tasteful editing. Sure look like an image from a $4000 large DSLR. These cell phone photos are really hurting the Point and Shoot camera business. But on the other hand, we photographers have a one button camera that is always with us. Jerry |
