Josh, I think your feeling comes frrom more negative space at the top than at the bottom. It doesn't bother me, but that's the only thing that I can see.
That said, I echo your comments about the proper use of saturation, and the way the detail is held as well. I especially love the delicate play between the pink of the flower and the neutrality of the background. |

Josh, nice color combinations on a classic subject. Too bad you didn't have a tripod, to let the pedesrians blur against the static background. |

Beautiful composition here, and a humorous shot. The only suggestion would to be to lighten the bottom part of the flamingo with a linear gradient in LR, or some judicious dodging in PS. |
