Just got back, and a little unusaul for a Palouse trip. A good deal of rain, and believe it or not, Steptoe Butte's road washed out in February, and the park is closed. Although I couldn't get this iconic view, I got a lot of other landscapes and some great shots in the quirky little towns, so I'm happy! |

Boy, very rarely do I hear "Needs more saturation", usually I go overboard! |

This image is more than instructive to me, since I am leaving for the Palouse tomorrow. That creek in the foreground provides a lovely leading line, and you shot at the right time of day to emphasize the terrain. The farm buildings add interest, especially since they fit in the rule of thirds. All in all, a great image. |

What a great found image! I love the field of color presented here. But as in Cindy's image, the depth of field seems to be too narrow. I think the same cure is in order: f-stop 16, and increase exposure time or increase ISO. |

Good composition, Cindy, and the lighting is excellent. I am particulary impressed by the way that the greens and browns in the background complement the gentle pink of the flowers, and the bokeh is outstanding. But I am having a hard time in finding the point of focus, since none of the drops seem sharp. Perhaps you might try kicking the ISO up to 640, and setting your f-stop to 11. |
